I don’t charachterize Romnay as a Venture Capitalist.

I call him & Bain a Corporate Raider.

They seek out companies which are struggling & swoop in for the kill.

Sometimes, such companies have faced a downturn because of changes in the world market.

Sometimes it is because the 2nd or 3rd generation of family just doesn’t have the talent to continue to run the family company.

Sometimes it is because the ESTATE TAX imposed by the FEDERAL government has bankrupted the company after a company principle dies & the company MUST be sold just to pay this confiscatory tax.

How many companies would be still operating today IF the DEATH TAX were not in place? How many dollars would NOT be in Mitt Romney’s bank account if such ‘sire sales’ over this tax were not occurring???

Venture Capital investment is one thing——Corporate Raider is entirely another can of worms. Not all ‘businessmen’ wear the same hat.

They seek out companies which are struggling & swoop in for the kill.

Sometimes, such companies have faced a downturn because of changes in the world market. Such changes were not their fault, but they were not perceptive enough to see it coming.

Sometimes it is because crazy regulations out of Washington cause a company to drop out of existance: G E incadescent light bulbs, for instance.

Sometimes it is because the 2nd or 3rd generation of family just doesn’t have the talent to continue to run the family company.

How many companies would be still operating today IF the DEATH TAX were not in place? How many dollars would NOT be in Mitt Romney’s bank account if such ‘fire sales’ over this tax were not occurring???

Venture Capital investment is one thing——”Running a business is not the same thing-—CORPORATE RAIDER is entirely another can of worms.

Not all ‘businessmen’ wear the same hat.

Sometimes a person is “All Hat-No Cattle”!!!!

Know which hat you are voting for!!!

Under funded pension plans, which were picked up by the Feds under Obama were paid to those laid off from the companies Romney/Bain bought & stripped.

Layoffs which spread into more than 26 weeks, which were funded by the Feds & the states have to pay the money back-—sometime!! Those monies will have to come from the rest of us taxpayers.

Stockholders of companies dispersed by Romney/Bain which then had losses on their income tax returns & paid lower taxes, not to mention those who were older & were relying on dividends for their incomes.

Corporate Raiders can create a laundry list of people who lose because of their actions, while they increase their bank accounts.

We will then have become a nation that makes nothing but hamburgers, creates nothing but lawyers, and sells nothing but tax shelters.

In "Other People's Money," the DeVito character also said that lawyers were like nuclear weapons. If either side used them, they destroyed both sides.

He said that the one thing good about communism is they killed the lawyers first.

He's saying, “I'm going to kill you because at this particular moment in time, you're worth more dead than alive.”

That sums up the philosophy perfectly.

I might post those two (Other Peoples Money) movie speeches in a separate thread.

A shame there is no real issues argument going on here, it's all pro-candidate A and anti-candidate B. It's just typical nonsense. In a months many will be arguing the opposite of what they are now.

Newt ISN'T saying “This is bad for this country so this is what I will do about it if elected

Newt IS saying “This should get you mad at Romney so you vote for me instead and forget about what I did

Newt would have done the same AND worse if he was given the offer.

Fascinated by the ever-changing face of retail, Peter Blackbird has researched and learned as much as he could about the many facets of the retail industry. Having himself worked for Hills department stores during their transition into Ames, along with Brian who worked at a Caldor, as well as other various retail-oriented contacts, they find themselves captivated by the current trends in the retail industry, and have seen first-hand the demise of many of these great giants of retail

Newt wanted to keep people riled up and angry about Romney. He can back pedal his comments, but its too late. People are talking about Bain Capital, not the back pedaling.

Unfortunately, they’re not looking at all of Romney’s record. Romneycare is being ignored.

I think Perry’s launch into the fight with “vulture capitalist” is a last ditch effort to fight for S.C. I don’t think it’s going to work, though.

And nobody is really examining Newt, they’re just thinking about Bain Capital.
