Barack the Kenyan is standing by getting ready to take the credit. I shop at Lowe’s so I really don’t care about spring cleaning at Home Depot.

At a very dysfunctional electronics recycling branch here in SC, the local manager got tired of people not having pens and other minor things on them at all times.

His idea was to get a bunch of those aprons that HD uses. He was Amish and a great many of the staff were too. The staff called them slave aprons. It lasted about a week. I bought a clip on pouch at Lowes. I wasn’t about to wear one of those insults.

“The hiring target is 10,000 more than its announced target a year ago, although at that time it ended up hiring about 70,000”

Would it have been too difficult for CNN to just say, “the same number they hired last year”... or just too honest?

As soon as the holiday season passed, the HD in my neighborhood has become a ghost town. Mind you, this a NY store right next to I-84 in a busy area with virtually no serious competition for 15-20 miles in every direction.

The article says they are hiring 70,000 temporary workers this year - the same number they hired last year.

But, this is somehow a sign that the economy is better this year than last year.

Go figure...
