yes, and I wish I could figure out - or remember - who posted it - because a few people on the thread really really liked it... and thought it was brief and cogent and asked if they could use it...

Just for the record, did you protest when Mitt was sinking $3.5 million into negative lies and distortions about Newt in Iowa? I've seen those ads, and frankly I will NEVER support Romney. Not now. Not never.

Sure I saw them. Why should I protest? Newt could have fought back and did not. Politics 'aint beanbag, as they say. You don't get points for chivalry. Ron Paul hit Newt even harder than Mittens did. I DESPISE Mittens. I want him DESTROYED, humiliated. But not by using Occupier talking points and undermining capitalism by using a Democrat-produced lie-filled "documentary". Read my other posts. Newt had a buffet of issues to hammer Mittens with in S.C. SOCIAL issues that hurt bad with Evangelicals. And he went for this crap? I am sick over it, and I am not alone.

Saying people who are against predator capitalism are against all capitalism or its principles is like saying people who are anti-abortion are against medicine.

Are you aware that Gingrich served on the board of Fortsmann Little - a mega LBO private equity firm just like Bain Capital, and made investments in their companies? Do you realize that if Newt were somehow to become the nominee, that Obama could thus use ALL of his current attacks on Mittens against Newt himself?

I think Newt had every right to do what he did, and I am not alone..

I have a little private blog, which includes a lot of young military, and I posted this this morning, as we have been trying to figure out what is wrong with the republican party and why they can’t seem to step out of the dark ages and be relevant to young and nonsuburban people. Feel free to slam it...

What it seems is…. capitalism is the Holy Grail of the Conservative Movement and Mindset

…. No one may utter a single – not one - word against capitalism

…. No one may point out – however accurately – in an evident, supported manner - anything wrongful or immoral about capitalism

… No one may even ATTEMPT to discuss the morality and ethics of certain aspects of capitalism

… No one may criticize capitalism in any form forum media or outlet

… No one may criticize any capitalist or how they conduct their capitalism in any form forum media or outlet

… No one may suggest that any element of capitalism is in need of reforming or that it awakens and empowers the lower elements of our sinful human nature.

*************

What it seems is… you are free to criticize the federal government, the structural handiwork of the Founders – ad infinitum – hour after hour – day after day… radio talk show after radio talk show

… You are free to point out – and discuss - the deficiencies and contradictions of the Constitution

… You are free to read write - and discuss - the character and principles of the Founding Fathers – their history – their actions – HOW they spent their money and WHAT they did with it

… You are free to delineate and draw with great detail – and in any manner that serves your purpose - the immorality ethical lapses of the federal government or the practicing politicians of it

… You are free likewise to demand – and may expect aggressive fullblown agreement from fellow conservatives – in any form forum media or outlet - that anyone who points out capitalism’s failings and excesses – anyone who dares to reach to touch the Holy Grail of Conservatism – must leave the campaign endeavor and the trail - immediately - because they have committed what is clear (to us now) – the Unforgivable Sin of Conservativism

…. You are free to call indefensible – beyond the pale – any negative speak about capitalism, however valid or substantiated

… And more importantly, you are free to carry forth The Aggrieved Conservative Crusade against anyone who commits this Great Unforgivable Sin

… And more importantly still, you are free to do all of the above without regard to truth – accuracy – balance – or context.

... And most importantly, you can feel really noble while you do it.

It is a sad day.

What I read here is that Mitt has no current connection with Bain Capital

When did he sell it?

He founded Bain Capital in 1984 with 2 other men.

If you check Edgar for Bain Capital, you'll get things like this:2000 SEC, (o) Includes 527,129 shares held by Bain Capital Fund VI, L.P., whose sole general partner is Bain Capital Partners VI, L.P., whose sole general partner is Bain Capital Investors VI, Inc., a Delaware corporation wholly owned by W. Mitt Romney; 115,138 shares held by BCIP Associates II, a Delaware general partnership of which the managing general partner is Bain Capital, Inc., which is wholly owned by W. Mitt Romney; 16,645 shares held by BCIP Associates II-B, a Delaware general partnership of which the managing general partner is Bain Capital, Inc., which is wholly owned by W. Mitt Romney;

If he "wholly owns" it, when did he sell?

See Post 46. Those SEC docs are from 2000.

The following is an excerpt from a DEF 14A SEC Filing, filed by ONESOURCE INFORMATION SERVICES INC on 4/18/2001

(4) According to a Schedule 13G filed on February 14, 2000, the sole general partner of Information Partners Capital Fund, L.P. is Information Partners. The general partners of Information Partners that have a beneficial interest in the shares listed in the table above are David Dominik, a former director of the Company, Mark Nunnelly, Stephen G. Pagliuca, and Bain Capital Partners IV, L.P., whose general

partner is a corporation wholly-owned by W. Mitt Romney.

You can search Edgar yourself. It's easy to do.

Why on Earth go after him using Occupy Wall St. propaganda? It is despicable.

Simply stated: this is the same tact the Obama campaign will take to win against Romney.

Yes, the fact that Romney is a RINO matters more to conservatives. But come November, like stances on abortion or gun rights will be used to suppress Republican enthusiasm for the RINO.

The battle for the middle will be fought on the argument that Romney is a Wall Street guy, not for Joe Six Pack on Main Street. Like it or not, electing the 1%er as our nominee will have disastrous consequences come November.

I'd be throwing everything, including the kitchen sink, at the RINO right now and hope he's stopped in SC before he's ordained our next losing nominee -- in the Bob Dole and John McCain mold.
