Love ‘em. I want to see one at an air show.

Why are all the surfaces trimmed in the light gray paint? Is that a special stealthier paint compound or something? I can’t recall seeing a US aircraft where the wings, tail, nose, cockpit, etc. were all trimmed like that.

Was able to get up close to an f22 at Sun N Fun fly in a couple years ago.
Course there were a couple Air Force guys with M-16 standing between you and the Jet. But from about ten feet away the do not look like anything I’ve seen.

You laugh, but I once flew on a B-52 training sortie that, among other activities, ferried 750 pounds of live lobsters and clams from Westover AFB, MA to Kincheloe AFB, MI. The crew compartment smelled wonderful and the navigator, in the lower section, got thoroughly leaked on.
