Santorum was nobody a month ago until Sarah Palin complimented him. He was a loser of his own seat. He was disliked for not supporting a conservative over Specter. He was always thought of as arogant. He had nothing going for him except nice looks, speaking skills, and Catholicism. And then there was Sarah. There is no way he takes out Mitt Romney. It will not be Perry’s or Newt’s fault if Santorum can’t take out Romney. It will be Santorum’s fault.

This debate is starting out as attempting to pick apart Mittens. This actually might make him the nominee should he come out of this healthy. For sure it is best for the Republican party to have him tested and hopefully tempered. I don’t want Romney, but if he is the nominee, try to torch him now and see if he survives.

Like you I will never vote for Mitt Romney. No way. No how. My wife is so disgusted she is ready to dump the Republican party altogether and register independent. My conservative friends tell me they won’t vote for Mitt Romney.
My question is when Mitt Romney loses the general can we please get to purging the mushy middle from the Republican party (or find another home for ourselves)? Who cares about a big tent? We’ve got a country to save!!
