Juan Williams tried to pin Newt down over his “poor kids should be janitors” answer from some time ago, and tried to make it about race. Newt took the opportunity to own Williams over asking the question, and got a partial standing ovation for it in the end.

I think Santorum hurt Romney tonight pinning him down early in the evening about felons voting and Perry hurt him saying he needs to release his tax records. Newt hurt him by just being Newt. LOL!!!!!!!!

And Juan, you might want to stew on this. When you die and Fox News plays tv clips summarizing your life, that exchange with Newt will be the highlight of your tv work.

One of the most awesome things I’ve ever seen in a presidential debate.
He has the civics of economic freedom in his bones. Liberals don’t. Rinos can not stun the snarky “smart” ones like Newt. Juan came away looking petty and stupid.
Americans, in the majority, would rather have their money through jobs to pay for their homes and food. The welfare mob Obama plays to, is a small sliver of society and Americans are not all that crazy about them nor about supporting them.
When I watch Ron Paul, a certain novelty song from Napoleon XIV comes to mind.
Mr. Newt won this hands down and if he does not win South Carolina...he cannot win anywhere!

I was alone watching the debate tonight and started yelling at the TV that we will NOT have our candidate selected for us by the GOP elite. So glad Newt did well again, and I hope he wins big in SC!

that hard to describe quality that makes folks listen and figure he is to be reckoned with
however imperfect he is
just look at Romney and the panels’ faces
they knew...Newt had just hit a 90 mph fastball right outta the park over Juan's little head sailing past their own too where the audience and TV land grabbed it with gusto
I am almost an old man now...I can tell the kids here that men like Newt do not come along in American politics often
and yes...he is a strange cat and has his own demons
but he will take the fight to the enemy...no doubt about that
and as we have learned the Democrats are not our only problem...about 95% of public figures who claim to be conservative have placed themselves in the line of fire as not in our camp as we have always thought
no sir...they are pure moderates and media whores who would sell their momma for access
