AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Growing up on a farm, I had lots of “non-paying” jobs. My first paying job was selling Wallace Brown greeting cards I got into by sending off a coupon in a magazine. Made $14 profit which I used to buy Christmas presents for Mom, Dad, three brothers and one sister. :)

“Try searching the web hopefully somewhere you watch the whole thing, you won’t be sorry taking the time.”

About 45 minutes into the first hour, Newt was rockin’.

Thank goodness AM 740 here in Houston took Beck off the air and replaced him with Micheal Berry, big improvement now I can listen to talk radio again in the 8-11 time frame.

Rush is up against it. Newt’s persona, his non-pcness, is exactly why he’ll never be able to win this nomination. Not enough of what’s needed in this culture to get elected to anything. I feel sorry for Rush, and Mark as well, because I’ve loved them and what they stand for, but their guys are not going forward here.

In the end, the blame will not be put where it really belongs. . . on the capacity of the american electorate.

Paultards are like DUh-bama’s supporters....both are cults who follow blindly regardless of facts that their “messiah” is a corrupt crank!

I’m beginning it’s not so much about Paul for the Paulbots anymore, but rather about themselves and their “movement.”

They are so personally invested in the “Ron Paul Revolution,” that they view any attack on their cult leader as an attack on themselves and their ideas, such as they are. That may explain why they react so violently when you challenge them.

I was painting houses in Indy at age 10, worked odd jobs long before I was of “age” (lawns & shoveling snow). It never hurts to get a headstart!

After the debate Newt was talking about burger flipper jobs...had to get a permit to work for McD’s when I was 15, but was able to buy my first car even though I was too young to drive it.

Just got back from lunch. I thoroughly hate poor service. Had to wait for 20 minutes in a drive thru and I was the only car!!!!! Sheesh.

I’m starting to get sick of all the candidate’s respective cults at the moment. I used to think Conservatives could think for themselves, but all I see anymore is a bunch of lemmings following politicians like zombies. Each candidate has them too. Disappointing!!!

Yea, they certainly seem to have a personal stake in turning the country into a 3rd world hell hole. Like I said, they’re more like DUh-bama supporters than conservatives...

Steak n Shake. I’m considering calling in, which I never do, because on top of the long wait, the lady handed me my chicken salad sandwich, and closed the window, forgetting my shake. Then when she finally realized I wasn’t leaving, she opened it up and I said I was waiting on a shake. She thrust it out the window and never apologized, smiled, or anything; just acted as if I had somehow imposed upon her.

Sorry to vent, but I thought that was ridiculous! Plus I wanted to be on the thread. lol.

Our stories just goes to show why Gingrich’s response was so popular. Work, of any kind, is honorable.

When my daughter was 14, she wanted me to buy her $80 jeans. I refused to pay that kind of money so she went up to the local cafe on her own and got a waitress job. It made me proud. That job set her up for the success she enjoys today.

btw; anyone notice that race played no part in this discussion?

I don’t blame you for being upset. Twenty minutes is ridiculous for a drive-thru.

I hope you’re e-mailing the company to complain.

I would have had to walk inside, see the manager and let them know that as long as the person in the drive-thru was working the window I’d have to take business elsewhere. A person like that should be scrubbing dishes and taking out the trash, not dealing with people.

I did!

I wonder how many Santorum/Perry/Romney supporters have disavowed Rush today since he seems to be “in the tank” for Gingrich. /s

Another item Newt mentioned...I was a janitor (of sorts) while getting an associates degree. That associates degree led me to the career I’ve enjoyed for 20+ years.
