Oh, there was an Esquire interview also. I remember the vanity fair interview in the mid 90’s. It was scathing, and full of innuendo written by Gail Sheehy who is a liberal mouthpiece and happens to be a good friend of Marianne Gingrich. Remember Gail, the tool? She also wrote a piece about GWB that when he was gov of Texas, he would come in to the office at 10 am, take a nap and then play video games until the afternoon, also alluded that he had some mental issues.
Sounds like ABC thinks Gingrich might upset Romney in SC, and wants to hold this information to trash the new frontrunner AFTER the primary, instead of before the primary when the voters could switch to Santorum or Perry.
How ironic this is revealed at the same time its revealed Romney has a slush fund in the Cayman’s.
When, in your entire life, have you ever heard a female utter the following words?
“My ex-husband would make a great President.”
I heard Mark Levin talking about the new Romney ad with Talent and Molinari saying they had to remove Newt because he was chaotic and erratic, etc.. He said the ad is a lie and the reason they removed Newt was because they were cowards and did not support him when the Democrats took him down with all the ethics charges. Mark talks about this at 6:54 into the audio.

WOW! Even John Le Carre could not make up this stuff.

He's not my first choice, but it should be obvious that in anything involving a divorced couple, that there could be a high probability of lingering he-said/she-said stuff, and the temptation to exaggerate things, especially in something as high-stakes as this. And do you really believe that everything going on down there is above-board?

Gingrich has never denied his adulterous affairs. The last with a much younger staffer while he was pushing for Clinton's impeachment, you know Clinton, the one who had an adulterous affair with a much younger staffer, it was in all the newspapers.
Gingrich is just getting the first taste of what will happen to him if he runs against Obama. The general public, most who know nothing about Gingrich, will be served up a scandal day by the ever eager MSM.
If ABC is gonna hold the interview until after the SC votes are counted, then SC needs to make sure that Newt wins, so the race is still open when we learn whether this is really something or just the media trying to manipulate us. We need Gingrich, Santorum, and Perry all to still be in the race after SC.
And then we need to find a way to tell the media that whoever they want to win, we the people will vote against, if for no other reason than just to spit on the media. They can’t be trusted with ANYTHING.
If money was given to Marianne that needs to be exposed immediately.
Unfortunately, I'd take Fred Thompson right now.

funny... I’m no canon lawyer... but that could have helped him get the annulment right there.
I believe the anti-Newt argument is that he didn’t care about his baggage, because he never expected to be a factor in the race, he was just running to help his book sales and to make him relevant again. Also to burnish some conservative credentials because he saw that the real speaking money was in the tea party movement now.
How was he to know that all the conservatives would either implode, be insufficiently flashy at the debates, or be hopeless bores?
I’d put money on Breitbart to find any money connection.

That was not Marianne...that was wife number one.
I just read the esquire article and she was nice enough to help him get their 20 year marriage annulled. She’s not a vindictive bitch. She just knows the man. His weaknesses outweigh his strengths. I’ve ben saying this for at least 10 years on FR.
The left did a lot of hit pieces on Newt. They did a Frontline show as well painting him as some dark figure who was mean to his wife and power hungry. They hated Newt. David Bonior from Michigan filed ethics charges on him continuously and I remember Rush talking about it a lot. Levin says moderate Molinari and Talent (the two people bashing Newt in the Romney ad) were COWARDS and did not support Newt against the Democrats.
