So what is worse for ABC? To air the thing or to have it and not air it?

It’s a win-win for ABC.

The threat could be worse than the actuality and probably is. If it would ruin Newt, they would certainly air it.

There area lot of FReepers stirred up with differing opinion of Newt, but not one of them can say he is not the brightest bulb on the tree when it come to politics, debates and knowledge of the way Government works.

Romney cannot beat Obama, even with the press laying off Romney, trying to set us up with a Romney run. They will kill Romney when the General election comes off while letting Obama skate.

If Newt can survive the Media war against him in the primary’s the media has shot their wad against Newt. He will be in a good position to beat Obama as the press will only have old news to spread.

On another subject entirely, could the sex between a 15 yer old and his schoolteacher have possibly had anything to do with Newts having adulterous affairs?

IMHO, this is old news. Everyone knows Newt has issues with fidelity. I wonder if the “reporter” asks his ex if she was the “other woman” to Newt’s first marriage? Can she really come out as the “cheated on wife” if she was the original mistress? I agree with the other freeper... I’m not electing a husband.

The existence of this interview in itself may explain the affair.

Let me know--so I can become alarmed--if there's sexual assault, rape, purjury, or intimidation of witnesses (crimes that Democrat politicians and their operatives consider no cause for concern).

Otherwise--yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnn....

That is what I heard too on Fox. But that guy Chris??? he is a real slimeball . . . use to be an aide for Smucky Shumer. nuf said.

It has already been said by ex-wife that he asked her to just look the other way concerning Callista and she said no so maybe that is what she thinks “swinging” is. Who knows.

I still support Newt. Go Newt.

Please leave Obama’s ex out of this.

Dragging a gay man’s private life through the news cycle is cruel. We had a Rutgers student jump off a bridge when he was outed.

Seems she has harbored a desire to destroy Newt for decades. In many failed marriages - when this type of vengeance is not resolved by therapy it often leads to violence or murder.

If this effort fails - one has to wonder what other type of destruction she is capable of.

That may actually help Newt pickup some points among the divorcees who have been through the mill with a bunny boiler

I think it will help him with every class of people... because this is such a blatant HIT piece. 2 hours of pure hate and splatter....who could not feel sorry for him?

No, no. That was the 1st Mrs. Newt. We’re talking about Mrs Newt II.

Who by the way - is still alive as is the Cougar who married her high school student.

"But, but, everybody said she died from cancer."

No, you're getting wifey number 1 mixed up with wifey number 2. Wifey number 1 was the one in the hospital getting cancer treatment at the time they discussed divorce. And you're correct, she's still living and was not on her deathbed. Actually, wifey number 1 IMO was a little creepy. I mean, he dates and marries his highschool teacher. This is kind of like Mary Kay Louterno type of creepy though she was only 7 or 8 years his senior and not 20 like Mary Kay was.

ExtremeUnction: “Gingrich is a serial adulterer.”

That is true. Many other people are, too. However, Gingrich has openly repented of his past mistakes and appears to be trying to avoid those same mistakes now. It would be great if he had never made those mistakes to start with, but the next best thing is to admit them and no longer do them. That is a far, far cry better than never admitting one’s sins, isn’t it?

My first reaction is “So what?”

At least he discussed it with his wife.

Clinton just swung from the trees, and the Dems and libs gave him a pass.

Move on.

This sounds a bit like Monty Python's game show "Blackmail":

"...But right now, yes everyone, is the moment you've all been waiting for; it's time for our 'Stop the Film' spot! As you know, the rules are very simple. We have taken a film which contains compromising scenes and unpleasant details which could wreck a man's career. (gasp) But, the victim may 'phone me at any moment, and stop the film. But remember the money increases as the film goes on, so,.... the longer you leave it, the more you have to pay!"

There's a word missing in the sentence.

Is it "he" or "she" that she claims wanted to be a "swinger"?

“But, but, everybody said she died from cancer.”

Wrong wife, that is wife No. 1 that Newt cheated on that had the cancer. This interview is with wife No. 2, whom he cheated on with Callista his current wife. Wife No. 2 was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis) when Newt dumped her.

The words “bitter ex wife” are very telling. People are bitter because they have been wronged.

I don’t in any way, shape or form, endorse infidelity. Its one of my major beefs with Newt.

HOWEVER...if all this is true, there’s a teeny, tiny part of me that can’t blame him for dumping her if she acted this way during their marriage.

Just a teeny bit.
