I think many have started to realize how much of a RINO-in-the-closet, that Santorum is. Santorum would be an embarrassment if he were to win. I just hope his arrogant, useless need to keep hanging on, will not harm our only chance of taking out Romney. We have no other choice, but to take him out here and now.

If Newt wins SC, He will go on to take Florida and beyond.

“Moral character”??????? Seriously, after LSM carried all that water for BJ Clinton, there is no way any of this kinda stuff has any shock value left for me.

It’s sad, but I no longer consider a candidate’s personal life when electing a candidate. Just their record in office, their proposals, and ability to articulate those proposals and vision.

Marianne Gingrich has said that Gingrich proposed to her before the divorce from his first wife was final in 1981; they were married six months later. Her marriage to Gingrich ended in divorce in 2000, and Gingrich has acknowledged he'd already taken up with Bisek, a former congressional aide.

Marianne is a sleaze who went into Newt's second marriage knowing that he was also a sleaze. I have trouble working up sympathy when "the other woman" finds the shoe on the other foot. In most years, I would reject Newt out of hand for being so disgusting, but this is not most years. We need to stop Obama, and we need to do it with someone who is not a near clone of Obama. It's down to Newt or Santorum, and frankly Newt is a much better candidate and tactician. Newt is much more likely to successfully roll back Obama's legacy. This year and four years ago are the only two elections in which I would have considered a scum like Newt, but I have to admit that I think he's the best candidate still standing (and may God have mercy on the United States of America).

Can’t prove it, but I’m guessing the former Mrs. Gingrich has a bank account in the Caymans that’s gained a few more zeroes at the end of her balance.

After the divorce, what did she do with herself? What (if anything) does she currently do for a living? I don't see much info on her post-Newt. I wonder if this is her shot at being important (and maybe making some money or accumulating some favors)?

It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman. Proverbs 21:19

That's right....and we've noted Newt and his daughters thus far refuse to speak badly about this woman. Just from what I read awhile back she's been pretty much opposed to Newt's running for office from the get go...and vowed then to take him out if he tried.

This is simply a vengeful woman...and of course the money she's being paid worth public opinion either way she's played as she'll be history tomorrow.

didn’t Marianne start dating Newt before his divorce with wife #1 was final?

Yes....I'm laughing because Marianne couldn't believe the same could happen to her....homewreckers always think they're the Only One. Also they always create drama for that...they have no defense when it happens to them...so they are especially vengeful.

Newt and Mariannes relationship was intitially centered on their political interests.....she changed...Newt didn't. He thought he was getting a woman supportive of his political interests....again, she changed.

Who didn't see this coming? All the polls up through earlier this week were push-polls to try to drive people toward Romney. Now, we start to see the real numbers so that the pollsters can crow about how "accurate" they were.

Boils the blood.

I had the same questions. If Newt was smart, he gave her a lump sum settlement. However, there’s also the chance that he pays her alimony, and she might be entitled to half of his Congressional pension—assuming that Congress plays by the same rules that govern military pensions (a rather large assumption on my part). Still, even half of Newt’s Congressional pension won’t go very far in Washington, D.C. And, I’m sure it makes her even angrier to see Newt with a much younger (and more attractive woman), with the knowledge that her former husband could be the next president, or at the very least, will return to a seven-figure annual income if he loses the nomination.

I’m fairly certain that Marianne Gingrich wasn’t paid by ABC News. But I’m very confident that money changed hands, and it most likely came from a former investment banker who recently admitted to parking a lot of his wealth in the Cayman Islands. Sure makes it a lot easier to pay “friends” for favors. Coincidence? There are no coincidences in politics.

Well, that explains the desperation among the talking heads yesterday. I saw Jim Talent on Kudlow, and I have never seen him that way before.

Not as shrill as Rove after Christine O. won the primary, but definitely the same undercurrent of RAGE. He said something about McCain being behind in 2008, and they were enthusiastic that their candidate was already ahead.

He kinda said we are right about our candidate as if anyone who disagreed was a total moron. Kudlow laughingly jabbed him back with a prediction that Newt was going to win S. Carolina.

GOP E and media sycophants are exuding panic.

When is Matt Drudge going to post his yearbook photo? I'm guessing it'll look something like this:

“How come last week when the same polling showed Romney with a healthy lead, the storyline here was “Rassmussen polling cannot be trusted.” Now that the polling has flipped, is Rassmussen suddenly reliable?”

Don't you know how this works? Pollsters have to get more accurate closer to the vote, so that their reputation for accuracy is not destroyed. At other times, they can, if so inclined try to get people on the bandwagon of a perceived winner.

“Larry Sabato thinks Perry’s endorsement will get Newt 5-6 pts. even though Perry is polling lower than that.”

I agree with that. Newt will get a large percentage of the Perry vote but not all and it might help pull some more undecideds into the Newt camp.

Hey, have we EVER seen zero’s high school pic? I don’t recall ever having seen one. We see those dope smoking couch photos, but not much else.

In the time it took you to type that, you could have googled 'obama high school' image and this is the first hit. But don't bother.

YAY!!! Go, Newt!

He's got the Big Mo(mentum). Now if he keeps his cool tonight regarding the ex-wife attack and, especially if he can get in another couple of Big Applause answers while under this kind of pressure, SC might give him an even bigger victory than any of the pollsters are expecting.

I'm finding tonight is such a nailbiter that I had to cancel my appointment just to be here to see it live. Well, that and bad roads. :-)
