JY1 !!!!
My most memorable Field Day contact from years ago!
The QSL card is still on the wall at my Local Civil Air Patrol Squadron.

IMHO, a good man who tried his best to always do the right thing, under the most difficult conditions imaginable.

History will record him as a good man, if not one of the greats.

5. They must be capable of consummating the marriage and be willing to have children.”

By criteria 5, marriage between an elderly man and woman is invalid if he's impotent. Likewise marriage where one or the other has an injury which makes consummation impossible.

Prayers for Newt’s voters to vote and the others to stay home!

Rain storms across SC -- that's good news for Newt.

The liberals don't want to risk a bath ...

And the RomneyBots don't want to get their hair messed up.

“News media saying that the turnout may be light due to weather. That makes me nervous.”

When I went out for lunch here on the West Coast CBS radio was saying the turnout was heavier than normal. I have idea what they are basing that on.

...two or three years ago, when Gingrich supported this Dede Scozazzafavabean and sided with the RINO elite in upstate New York, about every other comment on FR (and I remember it vividly) were things like "Shut up Newt", or "Go Away Newt". It was endemic, I remember it. He had support by about 10% of people on FR for doing that.

And don't you believe for a minute that we've forgotten it. I myself was one of his loudest critics on this website, but sometime during this race, I found myself drawing a distinction between Newt's errant positions, and his real ACCOMPLISHMENTS.

It's only when I did that, that I began to warm up to the idea of lending the man my support. I've also noted that he's freely admitted where he's been wrong on some of his positions of recent years.

That took guts to do. Most politicians will try to con you that they didn't say what they clearly did, or that YOU somehow misconstrued the true meaning of their statements.

He showed me that he can self-correct when he drifts off course, and that is very important to me, because there's no such thing as a perfect politician. They all make mistakes, but few of them have the wisdom to realize it, then abandon errant ideas.

I think she is deliberately trying to look old and unattractive on the campaign trail! Only explanation I have!

She's 33 years younger than him. Flaunting that may turn off some women.

“Drudge: NETWORK SOURCE: Newt Cancels ABC’s THIS WEEK For Sunday... Developing...”

And that means precisely what?”

I think it means that Newt is pissed at ABC News for airing that hit piece with Marianne. It turned out to be a total flop. GO NEWT GO!

From our local Fox TV..

Officials said turnout was heavy in Greenville County precincts that are traditionally Republican. Heavy turnout was reported at both the Brushy Creek and Powdersville precincts in Pickens County.

Cherokee, Greenwood, Laurens, Newberry and Union counties reported light-to-steady turnout, officials said.

It amazes me that people think the American people would choose someone like Calista Gingrich as First Lady. Imho, this will turn off huge numbers of people - a woman who had an adulterous affair with a married man for over six years.

Ahem....

NOTICE to leftists, RINOs, establishment types, bots and trolls

I was corrected (chided) about the date of the speech..he actually gave it on November 30, 2011...the upload title that I copied was misleading.

It's still a great speech.

Before CNN started playing their debate again (good for Newt) they said Newt was up by as many as fourteen

Finally got back on FR...Anyone else having problems.

Cake from Willard to Newt was low. FOX is saying it was in poor taste :~)

Women can be such jealous creatures. From what I see of Calista, I like her. Anything is an improvement over today’s first lady. Hell, I’d take Teresa Heinz Kerry over this.

You, my FRiend, have a good eye. I have another of his cards that was from 20m QSO. It is red satin with inlaid gold. It is framed on the wall. Very few know any more. He was a great ambassador for radiosport. His son can’t hold his fathers jock. A real shame.
