God Speed South Carolina, the eyes of the republic are upon you.

I wonder if they have counted absentee ballots yet. It would interesting to see those numbers since all they are doing now is sitting around. The media could put that on air and perhaps Newt would be ahead with the ballots and could have announcements on this all through the day to help those undecided voters.
I hope this east coast snow storm doesn’t suppress NEWT’s elderly vote.
Rooting for Santorum.
Go SC!
To the Rick Santorum supporters here; if your candidate does poorly (as all of the polls suggest that he will, there will be further calls for him to end his campaign. This is not mean’t to be a personal attack, please do not respond as if it were one.
Probably 95% of us leaning towards Newt don’t necessarily LIKE him or have any emotional attachment whatsoever.; We believe he is what this nation needs to defeat Obama AND get us back on track.
I think that his past personal foibles are just that, past and personal. He and his wife claim to be sinners forgiven by a loving God. Who are we to call them liars?
Some folks, who were raised in Christ from birth don’t always understand what that forgiveness means to those of us that were not raised in a Christ centered home. Those of us that came to the Lord later in life having been humbled by Him allowing us to make our mistakes and loving us anyway.
Maybe us newer Christians understand Newt a little better than others because WE have been there, done that and got the battle scars.
This primary and the end results are nothing personal, please act with class. If by some miracle, Rick Santorum were to shock the world, gain 20 to 30 pts over what all of the polls say he will do and win South Carolina?
Well then he’s going to get a lot of support from those of us leaning Gingrich right now.
Voted about 9:30. Was #95 in a precinct with about 2000 registered voters (don’t know the typical R/D split there yet-just moved there).
In case you guys haven’t seen this:

Final simulation has Newt by 14,000 votes. However, looking like my margin of error is going to be +/- 2% with Newt around 37%, Romney near 30%, Santorum 15-16% and Paul 13-14%.
I think turnout might be nailed at roughly 495,000-500,000 because I appear to have the Paul vote fully accounted for.
County by County analysis in the thread I posted. After the results come in, I’ll compare to how well(poorly) I did.
Prayers for a huge Newt win! A real American!
Go NEWT!
Are we related?
This election may well decide the future of America
Thanks for posting this thread. I was looking for one early this morning when we headed out to vote. Showers today and partly cloudy. Some heavy showers but enough breaks to easily head out to the polls. Most of the storms are across the upstate.
Just voted in Taylors, just outside of Greenville.
Turnout is light, and it is pouring rain.
Wife passed by Tommy’s Ham House (local political gathering spot) in downtown...bunch of people rallying with flags, banners, so there is some enthusiasm.
husband and I just voted for Newt
