No way. If Santorum stays in, it will will make it much harder for Newt. If Newt was in it alone in SC, he would easily beat Romney by 20 points.

Santorum can't win and needs to go. He would make a horrible President if for some unconscionable reason he would win.

I will keep a tough public promise, and say nothing negative toward NEWT today, as a measure of the man I am and of self control that I believe I have.

Will you promise likewise here for the sake of Conservative Unity, i.e. to also withhold any further negative comments about Rick Santorum until the polls close today, things like "he would make a terrible president"?

Is it a deal? I challenge you to it.

Can you step up to the plate? And join me in either saying something nice about your own respective candidate (positive) or otherwise train fire only on Romney, Paul and Obongo?

I dont mean Rick stay in much longer..

but Newt is not alone..

Romney is still in..

and then there is Ron Paul...

Sigh...

HOWEVER

Romney dropped out Feb 7, 2008

2 days after Super Tuesday..

Romney had won AK, CO, MA, ME, MI, MN, MT, NV, ND, UT, WY

In FL he came in 2nd, in TN he was 3rd (Huckabee won TN)

So he will probably hang on till after Super Tuesday this time too

March 15

Well, Florida’s the next primary... and Santorum (Paul, too) doesn’t play well there. It’ll boil down to Romney or Newt in Florida.

And if Newt takes Florida, the momentum of two wins will start coloring the rest of the primaries as well as attract more donors.
