All four remaining GOP candidates have been confirmed for tonight's debate sponsored by NBC News, the Tampa Bay Times, The National Journal and the Florida Council of 100. The debate will take place at the University of South Florida in Tampa. This will be the first of 2 debates this week focusing on the Florida GOP primary on Tuesday, January 31st. Note the air times on the east and west coast.
Television Air Time: Monday, January 23rd at 9pm ET, 8pm CT and 9pm PT on NBC

Participants: Gingrich, Romney, Santorum, Paul

My Scorecard
Newt B+ ... started out poorly and got dinged by Mitt but recovered with calm, knowledgeable answers
Santorum A ... was allowed by Williams to appear Presidential after Newt and Mitt’s slugfest
Romney B- ...dinged Newt and answered some questions well, but appeared mean and petty at times
Paul B ...did his usual job and appeared amiable at time
Overall I see very little movement coming out of this debate.
This debate probably had a low viewership. Yes, agreed, Santorum had it more under control this time. No major gaffes, and just about everything he said was solid conservative, at least the most conservative on the stage. I know that will rub some folks the wrong way, but, well, thats the truth as I see it. Probably nobody in particular won this debate, though. Paul had good domestic points and lousy, lousy foreign policy answers.
I have to say NBC is not welcomed to my house very often, but the panel is surprisingly objective. Ahnnnndrea Mitchell NBC News complimented Newts debate mastery and Eff Chuck Todd seems almost giddy...
Newt is actually getting good reviews and Mitt is being mildly slapped about. Lol.
Newt’s answer was lengthy but some of what he said was there are some special interests who would rather preside over America’s demise and it is humbling to be in such a position as President and solve the many problems before you.

Did anyone expect Williams to say anything that would allow them to go after Obama? Even this fall, all the questions will be designed to attack the republican candidate and ignore Obamas record.

apparently it is an old inside the beltway rumor, I don’t believe that Newt would actually do that, however that doesn’t mean that Brit doesn’t believe the rumor or know more about what was going on.
Parents of children who commit suicide often look to outsiders to blame and that rumor, true or not, could be why Brit hates Newt so badly.

I was doubtful at 1st, but Newt pulled away with the debate towards the end.
