Exactly right. Mitch Daniels is an underwhelming wimp. Just imagine him as the GOP elite’s new choice to draft in their mission to defeat Newt -

Most enlightening, the following thread - first read post #82, then peruse #76:

“That is why the Kraut and AB are pumping Daniels up”

The elites hate Newt so much that they’d rather see BHO re-elected.

I mean, Daniels??? Just LOOK at him!!! A pasty, short RINO wimp who’s losing what little hair he had. Imagine MD and BHO face to face (so to speak) on the same stage.

Oh, the horror.

” I think that it wouldn’t hurt for many of these Republicans that get face time to show a little more passion.”

Wouldn’t hurt, huh? When you look at whom we’re up against, it’s friggin’ IMPERATIVE.

“Brit was my only hope at Fox till last night.”

I loved Brit and Charles for years, but this Romney thing has disillusioned me on almost of them. Except (believe it or not) Hannity. Sean really likes Newt. Tonight with Kirsten Powers and Tucker Carlson, KP even remarked “I know you like him”. Tucker also does, I think. He said the GOP would absolutely go nuts if Newt takes Florida. That tells me he likes Newt, or he’d never have stated that.

“The RINOs want Mitch Daniels. That’s all I need to know. I hate Mitch Daniels.”

And the RINOs (w/the Left) hate Newt. That’s all I need to know. I’m for Newt.

In that sense, the Tea Party Response to the STFU (oops, er, SOTU), (done by Herman Cain) was much superior to that lukewarm RINO oatmeal—even with the self-promotion aspect for Cain that grew in the Q/A afterwards. (Daniels) congratulating Obama on how well he and Michelle are a great template as First Family at the opening! BARF! This is patent McCain-ism. Do they ever talk nice about Republicans? No, they don’t. They have as uas the worst people in the world, responsible for Gabriel Giffords shooting, etc. etc. Does Daniels realize behind closed doors how much the First Dame hates White Secret Servicemen (or Whites in General?). How they spend like the court of Louis XVI our tax money on junkets and freebies? Sheesh. It was bad. If that is the message of the GOP for 2012, they are going to get their butts kicked, because it will not arise the people in anger using inspiration and reality. Politically correct for the most part. Meh.

“I didn’t have to listen to the Fraud to get bent out of shape, this bozo from Indiana was all I needed to fly off the handle”

It shames me to think these Repubs WANT to lose to BHO. Haven’t they heard of fighting fire with fire???

There are SO many other, better, more exciting conservatives who should’ve given the response (if WE had our way) - Rubio, West, Cain, several others.

Daniels was about the most lame, lackluster, unattractive one they could’ve picked.

“.two doofesses in one night is just too much for even my thick political hide.”

Except one of the doofusses is a dazzling speech giver, and it wasn’t OUR doofuss.

I thought the “rebuttal” was Pathetic. They couldn’t have picked a worse spokesman if they tried. Oh, I guess they DID try - hence, Mitch Daniel.

Yea, even Drudge is in on it.....ya start thinking there's a real 'undertow' dragging these guys along like a rip-tide!....but why are they not resisting it is the question...or who's pulling their strings behind the scenes? It's like they all switched channels and we're now the "informed".

I did not watch this SOTU.....
I have grown to despise the State of the Union address under Bammy. I despise it when he enters the chamber and all these Dems are trying to suck up to him, shake his hand or slap him on the back. Them Bammy has a word or two for half of them as if he even knows who the f they are or cares. You have a few Republicans doing the same. Debbie Wasserman Schultz was infamous for trying to get a piece of Obama like schoolgirl with a crush.

I despise Bammy’s preening and posturing during this speech. The entire ceremony has degenerated into the Washington DC establishment (including the Supreme Court) blasting the peasants via television, via a display of how clubby and powerful they are. The peasants must be kept in awe of their aristocracy. When the reality is that Washington DC is a black hole that sucks taxes out of the provinces to fund the lavish lifestyle in the Imperial City and its surrounding counties. The same Imperial city from which the EPA and Holder’s Justice Department tyrannize Texas, Alabama, Arizona, South Carolina and other states. Everyone is DC hates or at least has contempt for the people in the flyover states who are so stupid that they actually work at real jobs and actually produce something useful. Everyone in DC knows they are scam artists and thieves who live off the fat of the land

Buffett is a deliberately misleading example used by the Dems.

Buffett’s wealth is largely in Berkshire Hathaway stock, which does not pay a dividend. He only gets about $100K in wage income. Most of his income is from dividends and interest from his non-Berkshire assets. It’s likely that his assistant makes more in wage income from Berkshire than he does.

So he pays 15% on his dividend income (of course, the companies paying the dividends already paid taxes on the payout twice), and interest is treated as ordinary income.

I don’t know what Buffett’s actual income was last year, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s much lower than the typical robber-baron’s. Many of the perks he enjoys can be written off as business expenses for Berkshire.

I can picture Armey doing that, but not Newt. He does have gay-ness in his own family.

It’s likely that his assistant makes more in wage income from Berkshire than he does.

She probably owns a million or two (at least) in Berkshire Hathaway stock so her main source of income might be taxed at 15% too`
Where  is her tax return to prove anything Buffet and Bammy Boy are saying

I can't believe the freepers who think that the rebuttal speech was "great" or even "good"...

Agree totally. THAT was the best we could offer??
