Marco Rubio: Mitt Romney is no Charlie Crist (Claims Willard is a Conservative)
Tampa Bay Times ^ | JANUARY 24, 2012 | Marc Caputo

Posted on 01/24/2012 11:39:25 PM PST by Kazan

Newt Gingrich's decision today to bash Mitt Romney for hiring former Charlie Crist loyalists and employees doesn't seem to be sitting well with Sen. Marco Rubio, who drove Crist out of the Republican Party before beating him at the polls in 2010.

Said Rubio: "Mitt Romney is no Charlie Crist. Romney is a conservative. and he was one of the first national Republican leaders to endorse me. He came to Florida, campaigned hard for me, and made a real difference in my race."

You Romney people sure don’t post much to have such old sign up dates.

Pray tell, Willie, how can Slick Willard, who is well to McCain’s left, win a general election in your estimation ? Where are all these millions of Conservatives who will mobilize for a notorious liar, flipflopper, and proven Socialist ?

Maybe a Mitt win is viewed as ‘capital gains’?

Your overheated and unsubstantiated rhetoric sucks.

That kind of talk will ensure an Obama victory.

Grow up.

FR is becoming like DU. It’s all very sad.

No need to repeat. You are insulting and ignorant. Keep beating your chest. This is the internet, not a street fight.

I understand. You’re upset that your Socialist messiah Willard is trailing in the polls to hijack the GOP nomination. Tell me, why are you on FR ?

“your Socialist messiah Willard is trailing in the polls to hijack the GOP nomination. Tell me, why are you on FR ?”

Pathetic. You sound like a bad political talk show host. Scratch that, you sound like a bad caller to a bad political talk show.

I guess my time at FR is done. It’s an echo chamber like DU.

Rubio (Mitt Romney Jr.) is a punk and busybody who was in the right place at the right time, which is why he is in the Senate, and thats the only reason.

He proves it every time he opens his mouth.

Anybody with even a tiny pair of balls could have beaten that fag Charlie Crist.

Why did Rubio endorse Primary Seat Belt enforcement when he was in Tallahasee, even though Jeb Bush vetoed it every year he was Governor?

Because he is a douchebag, that's why.

Explain what he has accomplished, other than making it easier for the FHP to harass people and endorse the con man with the magic underwear.

Romney lost big here in 2008 and it had nothing to do Crists endorsement.

Cubans know a con man when they see one.

Top conservatives snubbing first Florida tea party convention?
By Zac Anderson, Herald-Tribune
Friday, November 4, 2011

DAYTONA BEACH

Gov. Rick Scott rode a wave of tea party support to office last year. But the mood among conservative activists Friday on the first day of Florida’s first ever tea party convention was less congenial towards the governor, with many feeling snubbed by Scott and other top Republicans.

Convention organizers said Scott agreed last January to be the event’s keynote speaker Friday but his office canceled at the last minute. Scott’s official schedule listed a “Let’s Get to Work Day” at the Port of Miami until 4 p.m. Friday but no events in the evening or on Saturday.

“The tea party helped get him into office,” noted event organizer Bill Eads with the Tri County Tea Party in Central Florida. “I hope he’s not forgot the people who got him where he is.”

Organizer Pam Dahl said Sen. Marco Rubio’s staff also committed to the event and canceled.

“They told me he is committed and I took their word for it,” said Dahl, a tea party leader in The Villages.

Rubio sent a video message apologizing for not attending in person and thanking the group “for your continued activism.”

The lack of any high profile conservatives at the three-day convention in Daytona Beach was disappointing for many of the activists who drove from all over Florida and the country for the event. Most of the Republican presidential candidates also planned to skip the convention but the absence of Scott and Rubio drew the most attention.

“It’s somewhat of a slap in the face,” said Sally Baptiste, a 54-year-old tea party activist from Orlando. “Especially with

The Rubios and Scotts who were kind of the first tea party candidates and this is the state of Florida tea party convention.”

Romney was also able to excite the conservative crowds in 2008. Nobody cared about his actual record because he would give a great speech. Just like Scott Brown.

I never trusted Rubio. He just looks the part of establishment metrosexual with good hair. His challenge of Crist had more to do with Jeb Bush’s ego than conservative principle. Besides, he was rising too fast and would like to cut down the VP talk as he is not a natural born citizen.
