Jay Leno thought he was poking gentle fun at the lifestyles of rich and famous Republican presidential candidates — Mitt Romney in particular.
But last Thursday when Leno’s slide show came to a location cited as Mitt Romney’s summer home — in reality an image of the Sikh holy shrine Golden Temple in Amritsar, India — it sparked a diplomatic incident. And now, a lawsuit charging Leno and NBC with libel.

Considering the bloody violence in recent times surrounding that very temple, you’d think Leno and friends would think twice before using it in a joke.
Better check and see who it is that is filing suit before presuming it is Romney.
It’s not. In this case it is the Sikhs.

Uh...see my post 22. It was the Sikhs that brought this law suit. I do not imagine Romney ever gave it a second thought.

As per the above excerpt from the article, Romney didn't file the suit, a Sikh did. Reading articles first is usually helpful.
The offended towelhead needs to go back to India.

The Sikhs are OK. IIRC, they were founded to fight Islam. After a few hundred years battling lying muzzies, you’d be touchy too.

Class warfare is disgusting and stupid people eat that up. My cousin’s 29 yr. old son posted on Facebook that there is glaring evidence that Republicans didn’t care about poor people because they refuse to believe how many jobs Obama has created. My cousin must be spinning in his grave.

One might think the Sikhs a little over sensitive, however they may have cause to be. Soon after 9/11 one of the few establishments in our local area owned by a Sikh family went up in smoke. It was a gas/convenience store and it was arson. Why? Because they wore turbans and clearly their kind were responsible the terrorism on 9/11! It took years before the place was replaced as the investigation took forever.
Agree, and it became more and more apparent, to the point that I no longer watch him.

Both of them rag about how much money other people have and the makes me wonder how much are they worth?.

Leno should run with this big time. If I was running the show I’d put a skit in the next show as a mock apology where he shows the temple again with a mocking attitude where he says they made a mistake and that this isn’t Romney’s summer home but (they could ‘give’ it to someone else or call it his guest house or something) then put up a picture of the taj mahal or some other opulent home or building and state that THIS is his summer home.
This lawsuit has legs and I’d run with it.
