Maverick alert: McCain to campaign for Romney in Florida on Thursday
The Palm Beach Post ^ | 1/25/2012 | by George Bennett

Arizona Sen. John McCain, who effectively ended Mitt Romney‘s 2008 presidential hopes by defeating him in that year’s Florida primary, will hit the campaign trail for Romney on Thursday..."

I know you all will get a laugh out of that one. "Maverick elert" LOL.

I actually think it's a -PLUS- for Newt when McCain shows up to campaign for Mitt. All McCain can do is rally the 25% RINOs - and remind the 75% conservatives in the party that they are doing the right thing supporting Newt.

It's amazing how different the effect is since most of the conservatives did the patriotic thing and left the race (unlike the 2008 primary). Thank you Michelle Bachman, Perry & Cain.

McCain received 4,045,624 votes in 2008. My guess is that 4,045,624 of them were devastated that Obama won. My guess is that fewer than ten of them were devastated that McCain lost. I’m not sure that McCain will swing any votes at all by visiting. Anyone who cares what McCain thinks is neither a Newt supporter nor a Santorum supporter.

Yes the establishment has caused this mess and now the regular folks have picked a candidate and it is not their candidate. The good and bad news it will be the regular folks job to get Newt over the line in the nomination process and in November. I look forward to the challenge and do not see it as all that daunting.

Meghan McCain is already in Florida.

She got a gig at Sea World.

She does tricks and gets paid in herring and squid.

No, McCain thinks he is doing Romney a favor. It’s like Bill Clinton stumping for the Democrats in the last election. He had a great track record for them Not winning.

If McCain really wanted to help Myth he'd endorse Gingrich.

A McCain endorsement would be the worst thing that could happen to Newt at this point.

Newt should offer to pay for Mclames plane ticket.

What genius strategist in the Romney campaign thinks having senile McLame anywhere near him is a great idea?

That’s how out of touch they all are.

If this isn’t the death knell for the Romney campaign, I don’t know what is.

Yep, looks like Newt should pick up 3 points after McCain shows up.

Will McCain reassure us that we have nothing to fear from an Obama reelection?

“The establishment lost in 2008 and they did not get it.
The establishment lost in 2010 as we sent them a message but still they did not get it.
The establishment is losing now even though they have all their talking heads and FOX but still they do not get it.

Now what do they do bring out their establishment loser in 2008.

These idiots need to get out of the north east and the beltway and see how the real America works and thinks.

What a complete joke the establishment are...”

Nice. I’m going to quote you in various forums here in FL. God bless.

What a week.

Romney defends the MSM in restricting crowd participation in the debates.

Romney aide acknowledges that he wont kill Obamacare.

Romney trots out and old goat with LOSER spray painted on its side to help campaign.

And its only Wednesday!

Even more reason to support Gingrich. Two RINOs in one defeat.
