What’s ridiculous is how people are upset with everyone but the person who actually SAID the things being reported. If I ever become a blind follower of someone in that manner, please, please, please, slap the snot out of me.

What’s ridiculous is that somehow we are not allowed to be critical of President Reagan without somebody getting their panties in a bunch.

If I ever become a blind follower of someone in that manner, please slap me.

Yes and no. What’s the point in allowing yourself to become distressed at something Newt said? You could probably go back through the history of any politician and find hundreds of silly and contradictory statements. What’s the point? I’m not interested in vetting Newt anymore. I already know I prefer him over the other candidates, and nothing anyone can possibly post is going to change my mind. I don’t see that as being a “blind follower” - I see that as having made up my mind and resent a vast and powerful group of people using media propaganda in an attempt to change it.
