Wow this thread is hotter than the debate tonight.

Was Hoping Newt Knocked Mittens out. If something dont break Newt way before Next Tuesday. It is gonna be close.
If Santorum cost Newt FL his stock will be worthless with some of us.

Nancy Reagan Hold a press conference and endorses Newt.
Sarah Palin “Officially” endorses Newt.
Santorum withdraws and endorses Newt.

No Offense to the Santorum fans he just does not have the funding or infrastructure to compete with Romney.

Thank you for the firsthand information on how tickets were distributed.

No, I am not for Romney.

Just want to be sure of the info before I pass it on in my blog.

I am watching the after the debate discussion on CNN. Very interesting. They are saying the establishment is making themselves available to media after Newts Florida events on location to dispute anything Newt says at the event. Furthermore, Donna Brazille is saying Romeny is saying different things in Florida than he did in Iowa and tomorrow the Democrats will be taking a close look at those things.

At 60 I am far more concerned about my grandchildren becoming slaves to the state than I am about who gets thrown off what damn island. Though I do admit to watching football and martial arts often.

Have a good one.

Specter was Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Republicans were trying to hold a slim majority. Pennsylvania had gone to Gore by 2-points in 2000 and ended up going to Kerry by the same margin in 2004.

Considering that the only check on Obama that we have right now is the slight edge we have in SCOTUS, I think Santorum did the right thing. Roberts and Alito are the two best things to come out of the Bush administration. If Toomey doesn’t win that election and that Senate seat had gone the other way, we don’t have Alito right now.

"Santorum won tonight.

OK, Full disclaimer. Did I want him to win because I happen to support him? YES.

Did I objectively, honestly think he won on the merit of delivery, content, sincerity, fire-in-the-belly, consistency, impact and my general knowledge of debate, as if I were scoring those in university? YES.

Oh and another one, as a side issue.

Am I a proud, contributing FReeper for the last 12 years. YES on that too. ;-)"

Perfect!! I didn't have to change a word!!

(I hope Warren Buffett doesn't steal you for his secretary!)

He’s supposed to be the master debater. Isn’t that why everyone signed up with him?

Newt was on Larry Kudlow earlier tonight before the debate and basically announced his staregy against Romney - Kudlow knew the strategy and talked to him about it - I couldn’t understand why Newt would go along with it.

Actually it was one of Romney’s better debates. But I think Santorum did the best.

My Rating:

Santorum
Romney
Gingrich
Paul

The liberal media wastes too much debate time on stupid an inane questions. Of course they are protecting Obama. I would like to have had questions about energy, jobs creation, debt, etc. That is what America is really interested in.

It is not too wacky for me. If not for space exploration we would not be on the internet or have cell phones or laser surgery or satellite tv or the ability to spy..lol. There was a time Columbus was thought a fool because everyone believed the earth was flat. Newt suggested a mix of 90% private innovation and 10% govt investment. Maybe years from now when China beats us...everyone will look back on Gingrich and say, “that man was ahead of his time”

Yes, sir. The media is all in for Romney. He is undoubtedly the easiest to beat. For them, it’s four more years of socialism if Romney runs. And we know that.

Is it just me, or did Romney come across really nasty and mean tonight? Newt even offered a truce so they could get back to the issues, and Romney clearly turned it down.

I noticed when Mitt would speak Wolf would give time for applause, but when others would speak he would cut to someone else or a different question.

Yup!
