Newt received the loudest applause during that exchange, TWICE. Romney had rehearsed to start talking over Newt’s applause, but was shut down and had to wait.

You can tell Romney has rehearsed to stop Newt’s applause, but it isn’t working.

Sorry Mitt, you lose again. WHy, because you are so FAKE, PRACTICED and a LIAR.

I am not watching but just listening. It is allowing me to really focus on what these guys are SAYING.

Oh, what a debacle.

On this immigration, this is the dilemma.

The position taken by Newt in some aspects is warmed over George Bush compassionate conservative and horrid. We don't need any more Juan McCain as he puts forward.

On the other hand, intellectually, Romney has a better position. The problem is, he is an outright liar and talking out of both side of his a**. He does not believe those talking points at all, it is all a show, and he would revert to the Gingrich position were he to be sworn in.

The only one who made sense to me was Santorum. His was spot on, and he did not bring up any of these straw man "91 year old grandmother round up." But just got to the point about legal vs. illegal immigration, and that illegal immigration necessarily brings with it a host of breaking other laws.

Ron Paul was an idiot on this issue.

Santorum sounds excellent and in command by audio only, very forceful, eloquent, impassioned and full of facts. I think Santorum is winning it so far, IMHO.

And because Romney would buy more ads. Santorum won Iowa spending almost 1/10 of what Romney spent.

I have to congratulate CNN - saying Mitt’s ad did mistreat Newt, basically.... Mitt looked like the cat that swallowed the canary at the end of that brief exchange.

Gingrich has this in the bag.

I hope so. He looks drained. I don't blame him. Few could withstand today's withering attack.

Romney seems to be "on." He must enjoy destroying people.

Heh. Blitzer just landed one on Romney, said the ad against Gingrich was approved by Romney. Wouldn’t let Romney follow up.

NONE of them are any good on illegal immigration. They’re all lying. They won’t do anything.

Yeah, like all RINOs — he’s Mr. Big Balls when he’s up against a conservative. Mr. Meek when there is a communist around.

[Newt is selling the southwest to illegal aliens.]

Vegas where I live is overwhelmed with illegals. But I think Newt has a practical approach, about the best you will get in the real world.
Romney just got outed on a bad commercial.

Romney doesn’t answer the question but attacks Newt instead! Blames Newt for the housing crisis! I hope Newt points out his lobbyists!
