In the pictures, the 312-foot Delta Mariner idles, still partially in the bridge's path, and clearly looks much too large to fit beneath the aging Eggner Ferry Bridge, which crosses the Kentucky Lake Reservoir.
The cargo vessel was carrying space rocket parts for the United Launch Alliance, intended for a vehicle that was scheduled to be shot into orbit from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

LOL! Or when an employee walks through with the company moving truck and gives the news to his boss!
I've been over this bridge several times over the past few years. It is (or was) considerably lower than most of the other bridges at Land Between the Lakes.
He wouldn’t have cleared anyway.
LOL... and then he experienced that brief bit of time known as the “Ohnosecond”...
Is this now called a “shovel ready project”????
Is that a problem?
Too bad this didn’t happen in Webster, KY. Everybody would have been able to refer to it as “Unabridged Webster.”
First thing that came to my mind when I saw this picture was, there is the ship of America being steered by Obama and his crew. They just drove through the bridge to the future and have halted America in it’s place.
