I’m surprised how quiet everyone has been about this. Nothing on Drudge, didn’t see anything on Fox last night or this morning (albeit I was only half watching on and off), when I found the news article last night, this story was already 2 hours old and no one posted it here yet and there were only 2 source options on Google news.
Maybe for once, the media wanted to respect a private issue until they learned more.

THAT would shock me about the media being “respectful”...
I think they want no good news stories to focus on the fact that these parents did not have an abortion and love this child who is not “perfect” and the Santorums strong pro-life stand.
The recent pro-life demonstrationin DC was so overhwelming there are many people who would be so positively moved by this story and the media doesn’t want that.
Excellent point. It also makes Santorum look like a very sympathetic character, something that would go over well with the Senior Citizen population in Florida. Someone who puts family first is big among that demographic.

Bella is Rick’s mini-me. The pictures of her smiling, she looks just like him.
I just watched David Axelrod on MTP wishing the best for Santorum, knowing how hard it is to have a child sick (or something like that) so I had to come here to see what happened.
It can backfire, too. She could be near the end of her life and Daddy feels the call to go on the campaign trail for a year.
Dear Senator Santorum,
Hopefully you are reading this, prayers up for you and your family.
I encourage you to keep debating, but quit campaigning for the moment. Save your funds for later, and use your time right now for the family.
At the rate Newt and Romney are going, they will mortally wound each other before long.
Here’s hoping you can stay in the race and become the front runner.
