Vanity: RINOmny or Zero....other something else?
1-29-12 | VMIVol00

I'm just curious as to what folks are thinking....

If it comes down to Romney vs. Obama (socialist vs. socialist), what will you do?

If Paul were to go 3rd party, what would you do?

How about if Palin were to go 3rd party (not going to happen I know...just curious how it would be received here)

Before anyone accuses me of being a Paulbot or Romneybot, check my posting history. I'm all in for Newt.

I just know that I will never cast a vote for Romney, however I will still support GOP Reps and Senators. In my mind Romney is just as bad as Obama. In some ways he is worse for conservatives because he will push his liberal, pro abortion, gun grabbing views and they will be labeled as conservative in the media. Romney will also push moderates/liberals into GOP leadership positions. The damage to the conservative cause will be incredible.

Beyond not voting for Romney, I'm not sure what I will do. I might write in Newt, leave the Presidential portion blank, or vote 3rd party.

Anyway, I'm curious to read others thoughts.

Let's hope Newt carries the fight forward and this little Romney nightmare scenario never comes to be.

Keep working to make sure that doesn't happen.

If Romney is on the ballot, we’ll leave the Presidential selection blank (or write in somebody). Looks like we’ll have Snowe also so that will be blank. Can’t and won’t vote for either of them.

I held my nose for the last time. I am not voting for Romney. Not because he is a RINO, but because he is scum. I may come around at the last moment to vote against Obama, but unlikely.

Newt as the titular head of a new Conservative Party, to hell with fear as to what it will cause to the Republican Party , Mitt has as much chance to become President as a snowball does from not melting in hell.

If it is Romney vs. Obama, I’ll write in someone like Palin or Newt in the Presidential space. To me, I’d rather have a socialist Democrat ruin the country and allow the Republican party one last chance at righting itself. Personally, though, I think the gop and America has tipped too far to the socialist side. Like many have stated, I didn’t leave my values, the party that I used to think supported my values left me.

Two months ago I could have been persuaded to vote for Romney if he was the nominee. But I today think he’s despicable and I can’t vote for him.
And I’m getting tired of talk show hosts assuming that I’m going to vote for whoever the nominee is. And warning me in grave tones about the dangers of not voting at all and handing the next four years to Obama. I heard Levin tell a caller who said he couldn’t vote for Romney not to “go there.” Why not? We’re not your robots.

Romney v. Obama - I withhold vote for all establishment GOP. Down-ballot effect intended to be a negative “endorsement” of the GOP as a whole.

You are in good company with one of our founding fathers.

“If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures.” - Alexander Hamilton

All those "grave tones" are based on accepting the federal government as superior over states and localities. Once the federal government is rejected, discredited, and otherwise reduced to ruins, the states and localities will thrive.

IMO, half the forum will hold their nose and you-know-what and the other half won't.

I'll be in the half buying clothespins because I don't plan to roll over and give President Dithers an easy win. Let him fight for it.

I'm sure the other half will tell you their plans.

Count me in: Mitt = POTUS blanked.

If it’s close between RINO Brown and Granny Warren the Carpetbagger, I’ll double up on the gloves and vote “for” Brown. Warren is completely unacceptable, period.

If Romney is crammed down my throat by the GOP establishment, I think its time to think about laying the groundwork for a Conservative alternative from the grassroots/local level on up. If the GOP can’t be reformed to better represent the voters, and be committed to be the opposition not the enablers, I’m done with it.

I vote in Texas. If Romney is all that is left standing when it comes time for me to vote, there is something terribly wrong with the process. I can’t imagine a worse candidate to run under the GOP label than Romney. Its frightening that there are GOP insiders and bigwigs actively working on behalf of a candidate that proudly boasts of a government run health care system he created.

I see no benefit of destroying freedom and the GOP brand at the same time. Its no wonder most people see no difference between the two parties. With Romney and Obama, there is very little difference.

God Bless America.

I will leave the race unvoted on my ballot if it’s Mitt vs Sh!t.

IF Willard makes a good VP choice, I might change my mind on that. If Willard goes Huck-wild for VP... no way I’m voting that.

If Romney wins, I only vote for conservative candidates on the Federal level. That means if Thompson is the Republican nominee for US Senate in WI, I will not vote for him if Romney is at the top of the ticket. I will, however, vote in the state races.

I'll be in the half buying clothespins because I don't plan to roll over and give President Dithers an easy win.

If Romney represents the Republican party against Obama in November, than I WANT Obama to have an easy win.

Why? If the Republican party believes that the best way to defeat a gun-grabbing, pro-abortion, homosexualist Marxist is by nominating a gun-grabbing, pro-abortion, homosexualist Marxist, then I want the Republican party destroyed.

It's line-in-the-sand time. If the GOP wants Romney, then they don't want me.
