Santorum: ‘We’re Going To Win This Race’

LUVERNE, Minn. (AP) — As political watchers fixated on Florida, Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum delivered a message to Minnesotans: The race is still on, no matter the outcome of Tuesday’s primary.

Santorum, speaking Monday to a crowd of about 300 people at the Palace Theatre in the southwest town of Luverne, seemed determined to regain the Midwest momentum he’d enjoyed in Iowa — even on the eve of Florida’s primary, in which the senator hasn’t polled well.

“I believe we’re going to be in it until the end, and I believe we’re going to win this race,” Santorum told an enthusiastic crowd.

As far as I'm concerned the idiots can self destruct in their desperate little jihad against each other and everyone else.

Rush closed the show today by saying that no one is innocent but Santorum is the one who hasn't committed any great transgressions against conservatism.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=QGPUM3Z-7b0

Last month when he was on with Van Sustren, Rush said Santorum, Bachmann, and Perry were the only ones in the race who wouldn't pander to the left.

Nobody wants to admit that Newt has some serious problems he’s going to have to deal with if we’re going to win this thing. Friggin’ yes men.

So, who would you support?

Yes, Obama will spend a billion (with a $B) going mega-negative on either Newt or Romney. If Newt can’t handle Mittens negative campaign, he will wilt under Team Obama. They will dredge up everything and manufacture what isn’t there. If Newt is the nominee we will see a stream of women claiming affairs and sexual harassment. They did it to Thomas and Cain, and will do it to Newt. AND it will stick, because of his so called personal past. Integrity matters, regardless of how many FR’s say it was just a personal matter.

I am afraid after tonite, the elites are now convinced that Romney can beat Obama. And they will quickly align behind Romney. Unfortunately Newt only has a couple million in the bank (he is doing a money bomb tonite). And if his super PAC buddy in vegas quits funding him, it will be hard to continue as a viable candidate in those remaining 46 states.

And Santorum needs to start chasing ambulances again and put down the crack pipe, he will never be POTUS.

Thanks, you gave me the first laugh of the night. Santorum has ZERO charisma and ZERO chance of beating Zero.

Yes, the anti Santorum people are so vicious. They should begin to write off ever winning our votes.

Like I’ve said, he didn’t hurt newt in SC and he doesn’t appear to have hurt him in FL either.

I would find it hard to believe that his supporters in FR just went into a closet and have become lurkers when it would be much easier to support a “safe” conservative candidate that would help advance their real favorite, Mitt Romney. I suspect that the “non-existent” Romney supporters are still posting but doing it claiming they support the conservative candidate who will likely help Romney win.

If this is true, they have no character or principals.

Let's remember this is not about Rick or Newt, it's about our country and our children's future. 99% of conservatives are faithful believers in God. It may not seem like it, but God is in control. I know Obama supporters who believed him to be sent from god. Now they think hell sent him. He woke up and scared so many people who were not politically active, they want him out of office.

We just need conservatives to stick together to fight Romney and not one another. We may end up working together for a third party win if romney wins. Imagine if we all stopped right now and took 30 seconds to ask God for a true and tried conservative to win the primary. Then trust God to take care of it. I really think God wants his best for his people.

Totally insulting. I’ve seriously had enough of the FR Newt Scorched Earthers.

For you to say that we support Santorum because we really support Mitt is insane. Both mitt and newt to me are less conservative than is acceptable to me.

That sentence was online at NBC after the new Hampshire win, before they announced Santorum actually won. I was just trying to show no one can actually win until the end of April. Sorry, I did not catch that when I cut and pasted it.

Rush has not been standing up for conservative principals. When was the last time you heard him say, conservatism works every time it’s tried? You can tell he’s holding back AND saying things he does not believe. I really think his contract includes doing as he’s told. I don’t know if he could be sued, but he needs to decide who he is, a man of principals or a capitalist entertainer.

This is why I’m getting over run by people that are tired of these endless attacks on Santorum. It is making it difficult for Santorum supporters to get behind Gingrich if that eventuality prevails.

Santorum attacks Newt. Newt supporters respond similarly to Santorum. Not too hard to figure out.

Otherwise, focus your energies on Romney and stay positive.

Tell that to Rick.

Actually I said Santorum has legit supporters. But it should be no surprise that there would be some who claim to support him but are really rooting for Romney. That’s not an insult. That’s politics!

Remember Rush Limabaugh’s Operation Chaos (trying to help Hillary stay longer in the dem primary?

Remember back in 1999 when Republicans were actually running Nader’s ads?

C’mon now. You know exactly what I mean. There were legit Nader supporters and there were republicans spending money to run his ads because Nader hurt the democrats.

They’re not starting to call Santorum “Ross” for nothing, you know.

If Little Rickie thinks he is Mitt's answer to Sarah Palin then he is indeed psychiatrically defective.

You don't backstab your main competitor and then expect his followers to come running to you. That is psychotic grandiose thinking. Puts Santorum in the same category as the Usurper.

I do buy the facts and the facts are that Santorum has no chance at winning the nomination at this point (the numbers show that),

According to CNN tonight, Santorum is last, behind Paul, in delegates. Since he has zero chance of winning anything, he must be in it for some other reason. Watch who he attacks, because that will tell you whose votes he doesn't care about.

Well the results from Florida are in, at least we can all agree with that, much like the electoral votes in the General Election are far more important than the popular votes:

(2012 FLORIDA GOP Delegates Gained, in alphbetical order):

GINRICH 0

PAUL 0

SANTORUM 0

but yes...I know Rick walks on water and all and Newt is Satan basically

You just don't understand, wardaddy--the reason the Nation is in an existential crisis is because we risk electing someone who's been divorced. Yes, only by avoiding candidates who made a dumb PSA years ago will we save ourselves from obama totalitarianism, even if it means nominating a hypocrite rino lawyer who will get shredded by obama like yesterdays newspaper at the recycling station.

We elected a water-walker in 1976--saw how well that turned out.

"Rush told us today that most Santorum voters, support Romney as their second choice."

So when do the Newtopians start begging Rick to stay in?

Santorum voters are very like Obama voters--highly thinskinned and irrational but find it difficult to defend their peculiar loyalties without resorting to threats.

Come to think of it, they are like paulbots too in that respect.
