Romney will not win no matter what we do. Obama can’t win on his record but he would demolish Romney with a negative campaign.
The only question is whether Romney will lose like Dukakis or like Mondale. Whether he’ll lose by a substantial margin or by a colossal margin.
That’s up to us.
I’m for Romney losing by a colossal margin. A total implosion of the GOP might result. Maybe then the TEA Party wing of the party will become the brain of the party.
Forget that, I AM gonna go there.
If Mitt is the nominee, it’s either third party or stay home for me. And I can guarantee you a lot of other folks are thinking this way, too, since even a year ago, the idea of NOT voting for the GOPer against Obama was completely abhorrent to me. If I’ve gotten to this point, I know there are a lot of others there with me - a lot more than who sat out on McCain in 2008.

I would rather have 4 more years of Zero then get a real conservative, perhaps Jindhal or one of the other rising stars in the GOP, in the White House then be stuck with Willard for 8 years or if he is in there for only 4 then we will have a Democrat back in White House and most likely Willard destroy the GOP brand insuring Nancy Pelosi and Reid are back running the Congress.

As I’ve posted before, I won’t be critical of anyone who decides they still need to play the game, but as for me I’m done. For the first time in my adult life I will likely not vote at all. No RINO congressman, senator or even dog-catcher . . .Have also had it with the “our” conservative media who have basically been a cheering section for the GOP-E. No more Fox, talk radio, NRO, etc. ‘F’ them all!!! (Except of course for this “last stand” site)
I’m sure they will manage to get 5 moderate or liberal listeners for each one us conservatives that checks out. After all, that’s clearly their math formula for “winning” in November.

I have a slightly different twist to your position. My position is, if Romney is forced upon us as the GOP candidate to go up against Obama, then America deserves 4 more years of Obama-hell. You are correct when you say that both candidates will continue to destroy America, so I say let's accelerate the process rather than dragging it out like death by a thousand cuts. Let Obama utterly destroy the economy and cause us to go belly up. That way when it happens it will be seared into the retarded brains of the citizenry that it was the socialist democrats that were in charge and caused the demise of this once great nation. Then, and only then perhaps we can pick up the shattered pieces and rebuild America back to what it use to represent in freedom, liberty, and small government.

Exactly. A vote for a Romney is a vote to admit that conservatives really don't care about conservatism, or principles, or any of that other lame garbage that only appeals to losers who actually care about the Constitution and this country.
It's time to tell the GOP-e that we're not going to go along with them anymore. It may even be time to kill their Party and create a new one that they don't have any say in.
