In a new national radio ad released Wednesday, Rick Santorum lambasted Newt Gingrich over the former House speaker's declining poll numbers and second place finish in Florida's primary.

"Despite spending millions, Newt Gingrich went from a big lead to a big defeat. Why? Because voters discovered Gingrich wasn't a true conservative," the narrator says in the ad.

-> Santorum is telegenic, has far less baggage than Gingrich,

He is way behind. Please think clearly. I am not going to Rick. He lost his own state.

Santorum is a Perot style spoiler. And he only attacks Gingrich.

I sure hope what you wrote is wrong

I base it on his history

Audio: Rick Santorum: If you're a conservative there's really only one place to go right now and that's Mitt Romney - 2008

"And he only attacks Gingrich."

Gingrich should be grateful Santorum took to dismantling Romney in the last debate while Gingrich was trying to catch his breath.

Santorum may be behind but after Gingrich’s devastating loss in FL, in realistic terms, if we remove our blinkers, Gingrich is all but over. Santorum is now conservative alternative to Romney. See analysis in link below. Tell me how you disagree with this analysis.

That was as opposed to John McCain.

Good luck supporting the Senator from Arizona.

This should be an ad for Romney.

Mercy. Now, I know who he is truly for.

Gingrich was holding on to his temper. When asked he stated that he couldn't answer Romney and be civil. Isn't that what he's accused of? Flying off the handle? So he doesn't and he's still wrong?

Where is Santorum? Is he with his daughter? Nope. He wants to be PRESIDENT. Tells me what his priorities are. You can't make ANYONE like his priorities either. I have kids. I'd be with Bella.

Buh bye.

"Is Santorum really saying that Romney is more conservative than Newt?"

Well, isn't that a coincidence. Romney says the same thing, and Hillary's swing voters support both of 'em.

I think Rick is really chapped that Newt said he was going to be the nom and then sunk. Then came back and started publicly suggesting the Rick S should get out. Probably never should have done that. Make it come from us like it has been, but privately having dialogue with him about it.

You are tone deaf if you think that. Conservatives should rally around the real conservative, Santorum. New polls are suggesting he could give Willard real competition.

Newt and Romney agree on too many issues for my taste. But then again, I consider myself a real conservative.

Better Newt than Mitt. Better Santorum than both.

As opposed to Bishop Willard Romney, sad, twisted and delusional John McCain is a mighty man of integrity and personal courage. McCain actually fought armed adversaries of the United States. The only people Bishop Willard Romney zeroed out were the nameless unborn of Massachusetts.

Rick Santorum is no idiot. He knows he’s not going to win the nomination. He’s staying in for another reason.

Compared to Romney John McCain looks like Barry Goldwater. It’s all relative, I know. But quite telling.
