Well, Romney does buy everything. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump was definitely going to endorse Newt and Romney made him an offer he couldn't refuse. The only good thing about it if Mitt gets the nomination is to see Obama run billion dollar circles around Mitt. Payback's a bi+ch.
See my reference in earlier post re China policy...also, I think Trump has marginalized himself with his latest publicity manuevering. Ie this stunt. If not, iit says more about his followers than him, imo. My point was hesitant to buy in to Ttrump’s endorsement of Newt as presented yesterday as it seemed, for several reasons, inconsistent with Trump’s m.o. Not the least of which is that he sees Mitt as eventual nominee and he doesn’t want to back a loser... woulnd’t reflect well upon him— the most important thing!
Look for Mr. Robinson to have a fit of anger.
I think Trump should step up to the press conference and endorse Mitt Romney to HOST the Apprentice in 2012-2016 and everyone can be happy - a compromise.

Back in December when everyone refused the Trump hosted debate but Newt and Santorum there was a posted thread on it and I remember a Newt supporter who commented that Trump was a patriot who had a lot of money 'invested' in this country, after I posted a few negative comments about Trump.
Letting the media dictate the ‘weight’ of a Trump endorsement is what sucks.
Trump is a player...not a patriot or politician. Any public endorsement from Trump will be a scourge upon candidate.
As I have been saying ...Romney is 0bama’s wet dream for a nomination. He represents everything 0bama has been railing against from corperate jets to private yachts...how does a Trump endorsement help Romney? It doesn’t. It just makes it easier for the progressive left to take pot shots at the candidate heading into August, Sept., Oct.
That sounds like the most likely scenario.
There is no hypocrisy in cheering if Trump endorses Newt and criticism if he endorses Romney.
It will be a reflection on his judgement.
Newt deserves support for his vision, knowledge, past political successes and failures - with enough humility to know the difference.
Romney has no vision or understanding and no political success - only a permanent odyssey to become powerful.
He's a goofy television personality who inherited a fortune. Always has been.
He has a lot of mirrors, he just buys mirrors that make him look good.
I’ve read that he cuts his own hair. Something about a phobia of having other people touch him. Just like he supposedly won’t shake hands.

So when is this, whatever it is, supposed to happen? It isn’t morning anymore. Or was it morning LV time? And morning is almost over there too. I mean, here I am holding my breath way past blue and everything to hear this great major announcement and I just can’t last much longer. Gasp.

Ditto. Not only did he inherit a fortune, he managed to p*ss it all away to the point where his only source of income is playing himself as a character on TV. His self-aggrandizing buffoonery have been laughably legendary for decades. I’m just sad that there were some folks on FR who ever took him seriously.
