I am almost positive it was OT. I guess I'll have to pick up my bible (lazy me) and find it..and it had to do with justice if the rich man's cause was righteous.. In other words, the poor are not automatically right and the rich are not automatically wrong. One can rich and righteous before the court...(this would be taking disputes before the Jewish court. That's why I think it was the OT. Or possiblilbly NT. It was dealing with law according to scriptures...
LOL I guess before I use your name again, I'll be a little more specific...
I only have the bible and several books on the saints of the catholic church..that leaves Mormons out...
I do have to admit the majority of my bible reading was done many years ago. At my age its surprising I still remember but sometimes something is brought to mind..
There was another one on lending money and it was fine to charge interest to those outside of your brethren, but change no interest to family...
I seem to have money on my mind today.....maybe I'll win on the lottery....(fat chance) :O) I don't play it..
I think the principle you articulate is Biblical. I just don’t recall a specific Scripture with wording close to that. May well be one. I just don’t recall it. Am reading the Bible through again . . . should run onto it, if it’s there.
The part about lending money and charging interest to pagans etc. I recall but not specifically where.
