As many of you know, and as many of you don't know, this Freepathon is to raise money for the current quarter, not one down the road. We need to get this one over with and now.
November brings the most important election in our lifetime. FR must be up and running and healthy if we are going to make a difference.
If you have donated in the past, please donate again. If you give something every quarter, try to give something every month. If you are a monthly donor, give dollar-a-day a shot, if you can.
John needs some new equipment to stay on the air and we all understand that. Equipment gets old and wears out, just like you and me ;-)
Please help FR in any way you can.
We need to be here in November for reasons that should be obvious to all.

Hilarious! If they don’t like what Jim does with his site, he has said many times they can find another place to go. I say if you’re gonna freeload, you should at least have class enough to not insult the site owner while doing it!

Lol, okay now that we have broken the ice. Tell me what bothers you that folks may want to be able to state their opinions about things that in the end we all want? And why should they monetarily support a site that won’t listen to their opinions? Should they just not post? What does that accomplish but a bunch of yes men and isn’t that the kind of thinking that gets us all in a bunch of trouble and blindsides us in the first place? Maybe I’m totally wrong...but maybe you are too.
What is really interesting was that I signed up as a monthly donor about a year or so ago.
I really took a good look at my CC statements for the last 3 months ( I did not look further back from that),no deduction taken from my CC.
So what happened?I think there is also some bookkeeping errors, in addition to the numerous zots.

Did your credit card expire when you got the new one from your bank with a new expiration date? Have you updated that information on the donations page?
FR can’t continue to bill your credit card without the proper expiration date. If you wish to continue your monthly donations, please update your information.
If a business wants to be serious, they need to notify the person who is donating that their CC haas expired.FR has a mail function.
Simple business logic, which is not happening here.

Although my personal opinion is that if you have an automatic charge against your credit card, it is up to you to keep your financial affairs in
order and to keep your charge-card information current with the donation site when your bank issues a card with a new expiry date.
That is not how it usually happens.
I get a notification via email or phone call from a business when my cc expires.
Especially when the business wants a donation, it is in that business interest to keep the donations flowing.

Bless your heart. I am not the person that you should be lobbying with this issue. Will you please take your suggestion to someone who can actually do something about it other than talk.
Our program automatically sends an email message anytime a cc fails. And I’ve recently been sending a personal reminder as well. We’ve had many renewals come through lately since I started sending the persona messages, but we always seem to have about 10% or so of our monthlies that are not working. Hoping to improve on that.
