I already know about the magic underwear. Big Deal.

All religions have their strange habits. What I find fascinating is when people in one cult will say the other cult is strange when all cults have no proof to back up their stories. It’s all metaphysical.

Have you seen a priest kiss his vestments before he dons his apparel? I have; isn’t that strange? Is there something magical about them?

We have a radio show host in Los Angeles named Bill Handel. Several years ago he talked about the nudist colonies in California. They allowed nude children and adolescents in their communities, along with the adults. What was interesting was the number of lawsuits on the docket for sexual abuse of the children at those colonies = ZERO. Let’s compare that to the Catholic Church, shall we? He did.

Religion is a strange place for people to believe their beliefs are fact. From that point they claim their religion is better than the others. Not rational, is it?

How is he going to handle attacks on his liberalism?

Since Mitt Romney will follow the dictates of the Mormon Church, the entire Executive Branch of the Federal government will be under the conrol of the heirarchy of his church.

I'm sure that you believe that. But, it's not rational. There is the entire liberal cult that would oppose such a move, the courts, the First Amendment, etc.. That's IF that's what Romney truly believes. I remember people opposing Kennedy because he was Catholic - they claimed that the Pope would be running the US.

My, my. No matter how many years pass, we still have our strange people making weird predictions.

Unfortunately, the political views of Mormons are nothing like the Catholic Church. Yes, there was no inquisition.

I will take the word of those who have actually been in the Mormon Church, some of whom were raised by Elders of that Church. According to them, Mitt Romney would be in fear for his mortal soul to not follow the orders given him by the Council of 50, which is considered infallible in the Mormon faith.

To have LDS in his cabinet, appointed to our courts, including the Supreme Court, heading a majority of our federal agencies, is nothing to make light of.

All I’m saying is that voters should be made aware of the political aspirations of the Mormon Church, that have been their agenda since their founding. Then, if they have no problem being governed by a group whose goal is Theocracy, they can at least make an informed choice.

BTW, the only thing that is not rational is folding our hands and pretending that this bizarre religion is not a threat. As someone who has personlly experienced the damage that cults inflict in tearing apart families, I don’t trust them at any level, in any facet of our society.

Nothing good ever comes from Lies and Deception.

Can you hear the television over the sound of the black helicopters at your house? Just curious.

I’m only passing on what Mormons have said about Mitt Romney and what the Mormon Church expects from him..total obedience. That is what is required of a Bishop in Mormonism.

I have studied, to one degree or another, cults for over twenty five years. I have two degrees, one in theology.

The problem may be that you are not “curious” enough. Do some research or keep your position of condescension born of ignorance and vote for Mitt Romney.

No prob. My condescension is well-justified with nutball Mormon Conspiracy thinking that some have expressed on this very thread.

Let me guess. There is a White Horse involved and Mitt is gonna force everyone in the executive branch to wear Magic Underwear? A Kolob in every pot? Caffeine gonna be illegal?

Thanks for the chuckle sport.

So far, I must have missed the “Conspiracy” thinking you seem to be concerned about. You don’t seem to understand what Mormons actually believe , according to their own writings and history. Once again, do some credible research.

I guess those of us who find this fanatical dedication to insane beliefs a little disturbing in a Presidential candidate, will have to continue to meet with your scorn. I can live with that.

That’s hearsay at its best, taken to ridiculous points. Did Romney do that in Massachusetts? There is no way that any president could form a caliphate of their own religion; especially ANY Republican.

But, to play with your Chicken Little scenario, please put it into a logical string of events of how he would appoint his favorite people into the Supreme Court; how he would do that with the consent of the Senate?

Well, it probably would help things along that Orin Hatch is the Republican leader of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Harry Reid is currently the Senate Majority leader. That should expedite the “advise and consent” quite nicely for whomever the Mormons find acceptable for the Supreme Court.

I don’t see how Governor of Massachusetts is even close to being President of the United States, in terms of power. He certainly had a poor record there, so much so that he didn’t run for reelection. Frankly, given their goals, I would expect something worse than the appointment of a bunch of unconstituional Czars being appointed in a Romney administrtion.

I just think people should be aware of the political ambitions of the Mormon Church so they know what the agenda is when they vote. Glenn Beck talks a lot about a Caliphate. He doesn’t talk about the feverish aquisition of wealth and that the Mormons hold, controlling blocks of stock in most large corporations. They’re very diversified in agribusiness, tourism, communications, banking, publishing, a huge amount of gold and silver, etc. Their wealth alone makes them a formidable force and this wealth is invested very strategically by the heirarchy of the church.

They keep chipping away, positioning themselves to realize their “Destiny” while Beck and others prepare us for Doomsday and the “Refounding” of America.

Not hearsay, when it’s what Mormon’s say about their “Destiny”. I just hope Mitt Romney is as successful as Joseph Smith was in his run for the Presidency in 1844.

You raise an important point that I never knew about the LDS agenda. I wonder if today’s Mormons are still following Joseph Smith’s dictate to rule the world as a Theocracy? You would think they would have progressed along to a more divergent world view.

The Senate needs more than two votes to confirm presidential nominations. Sorry, but I have more faith in our fellow human beings that others.

But we now have a Marxist president. I have less faith than you do, because I think a Republican president, no matter who, cannot undo the damage waged by Obama.

Face it, CJ, we’re screwed no matter what.

They are very much still following their “Destiny”. John Huntsman, who dropped out of the race, has formed a Super Pac called “Our Destiny”, which he backs Normon candidates for political office.

A good resource book is “Can Mitt Romney Serve Two Masters?” subtitled:( Why Mitt Romney Must Never Be President of the United States”), written by Tricia Erickson (former Mormon Bishop’s daughter).

Understood - I did not mean to give you the impression that I thought you did. I was merely expressing my opinion.
