Neoconservatives retain power as the pets of the left and media. Hence they conspired to keep Thad McCotter out of the debates and paint Michele Bachmann as a lunatic. However, Ron Paul is no conservative and has prostituted himself to the left recently.
Sadly, many neoconservatives are so enthralled with their deluisions of Middle East democracy that they are allies of the Muslim Brotherhood. They supported our war for Al Qaeda in the Maghreb against Libya and refused to stand up for Mubarak and the peace treaty with Israel.
