Democrats in heavily-Catholic districts are sweating bullets, as well they should. Members of all faiths should see this as government regulation of religion, a direct assault on the First Amendment, and should be as vigorous as the Roman Catholics in manning the opposition against this attack.

I read on another thread this morning the EJ Dionne, who can't get much more liberal is outraged over Obama's stand on this, and is apparently very vocal about it.

Looks to me like this was the plan all along.

1... Announce that EVERYBODY has to have a tattoo.
2... The Clean-Skin crowd raises a hue and cry.
3... Everybody sympathizes with the Clean-Skinners
4... Some sort of compromise is worked out with the Clean-Skinners (but not until AFTER the election).
5... The rest of us are left with tattoos.

All hard core socialists HATE people of faith. I’m not sure why, but it goes back to the civil war in Spain.

I think socialism is the worship of govt as the provider of all, and religion competes with that ideology. Catholics are the most visible of all the faiths in america and will be the first target for persecution.

Not only provide healthcare benefits for contraception, abortion and sterilization, but also give it all for FREE! I predict that Zero will back down right before the election. This edict came down this early so that the controversy would die down before November. There is a myriad of issues that the public is ignorant about. These “pleas” remind me of the movie scenes where mob bosses cry at the funerals of gangsters they had whacked. It’s all image and theater and no substance. One need only look back at Bart Stupak and Obamacare to see how this will work out.

The fact is, the hard left pulls the strings of the Democratic party at the national level, and never so much as the last few years. All of these folks will fall into line once they are safely re-elected.

It will be interesting to see 1.) which Debtocrat Federal politicians still hold onto the Obama smoke and mirrors screen Party Line, and 2.) which Democrats bolt and stand up to defend this dastardly attack on Religious Freedom by Bolshevik Chairman Obama.

BTW, the latter list could be very helpful for voters from ALL religions in November, 2012.
