While I don't know whether the show raised Morgan's ratings or not, I do know one thing: Nugent put on a clinic for anyone wondering how best to take down a weak-minded, egalitarian European who doesn't know Natural Law from Natural Light.
In all honesty folks, as I watched the interview I almost felt sorry for Morgan a couple times: Nugent was at his best and Morgan was at his usual.

I watched with glee as Ted dissected Barbara Boxer on MTV’s Rock the Vote debates in 2000. She wanted to concede 10 minutes into it, but it was a half hour show.
He unloaded both barrels and, as usual, was right on. Wonder if that is up on u-tube?

1) I was listening to Pandora (sound system with dual powered subs) and thought I'd pause it to take in Ole Ted punking Piers, and that intro to the video nearly jolted me out of my chair. Now that I think about it, if CNN wanted to really grab the attn of their audience they should have had Nugent unload a .45 in the studio for even more impact.
2) Notice that Piers seemed to particularly relish Ted's metaphors, "...suck on your machine gun" and "as much as I'd like to KYA...?"
3) Piers was unable to shoot any holes in Ted's stat-based argument on crime in relation to gun ownership, and could only take personal shots through the usual personal innuendos that are fired at 2nd amendment advocates. Ted had none of it! Once he overcomes his shyness he'll really find his voice.

Too many stops and starts within the video to watch. Looked good from what I could see.

The Nuge was great. But with people like Piers Morgan any knowledgeable gun owner would be. The reason is simple - he's British and a European.
The sad fact is that it's inbred in Eurpeans to blindly follow the leader and bow to the King, Prince, whatever 'Royal' is in charge as they've always been 'subjects' not free citizens. And to them it's from the Royalty they get their 'rights' and from the Royalty they're taken away (No killing the 'Kings Deer' in the 'Kings Forest').
So the whole concept of having the God given Right to self defense with Arms is alien to them. And to take up Arms against the 'king' is unthinkable, Even if that 'king' is Der Führer. (this is why is was so easy to disarm everyone, it was in their DNA to 'follow the leader').
That's why people like Piers Morgan or any European will never 'get' Americans love for guns or our belief in OUR RIGHT to have them. And, as many of them and type of gun that we want.

The irony is that Piers' favorite soccer team is Arsenal, known as the Arsenal Gunners.

Actually GB had a quite robust castle doctrine and a strong right to self defense combined with widespread gun ownership in a very permissive environment (firearms could be sent post paid through the mails) little more than a century ago. The rise of the Labor Party terrified the upper classes both Tory and Liberal with the threat of armed revolt. After the ‘Siege of Sidney Street’ an embarrassed Winston Churchill as Home Secretary introduced retrictive legislation on pistol ownership. Each time there. Was a major labor crisis in the 1918 to 1926 period, which was a really turbulent period, more restrictive gun legislation was passed. The requirement for registration, banning of ‘military’ weapons all laid the foundation for the current virtually disarmed Britain with virtually no castle doctrine or right to self defense. Many upper class Britons today have no idea that their ancestors reveled in the right of ‘a free born Briton’ to bear arms and defend their property with whatever force was required. Americans should take note the combination of pansiied elite culture and politicians cowardly CYA mentality constantly seeks to reduce all to disarmed neutered serfs.

Piers Moron is so whacked they even kicked him out of England. He can’t get work there.
