Conference Center Gas Incident - Mitt Romney Involved..?
my eyes & brain ^ | Feb 13, 2012 | me

The ATT Golf Tournament is now going on in coastal Monterey, California. For that reason numerous high-rollers and public figures are in town to rub elbows.

The Monterey Conference Center is at the downtown Portola Hotel & Spa --my guess is that Tiger Woods is at The Lodge at Pebble Beach. However, Mitt Romney and many others were apparently staying or giving a talk at this Portola Hotel where they have just had a CHLORINE GAS INCIDENT in the hotel.

They evacuated the whole hotel --I can see them outside in the rain over there, with numerous emergency vehicles outside with their spinners on, and a few local news trucks.

My guess, however, is that some house-keeping staff mixed bleach and ammonia, but some people told me the Secret Service is over there, asking all kinds of hard questions.

OK I just ran into a CBS newswoman who was staying @ the hotel and confirmed for me that Romney WAS, in fact, staying there.

She worked out with him, more or less, this morning, at the hotel gym

And it’s going to be all over the news, tonight, I just found out.

And no one has that yet, but we here, at FR, do have it.

Thanks for the update - so far, apparently, the media silence on this incident is deafening...

(Also HuffPo is reporting a 5.6 earthquake in northern Californina - I haven’t been able to verify from other sources, but if true, is another story being ignored by MSM)

Nothing is important as Whitney, it seems - except for maybe trashing Republicans.....

” Sorry for the double post....... “

No worries - yesterday, when FR was having server problems, there were lots of double, and triple, and in the case of one really determined soul, quadruple (or maybe quintuple - I lost count) posts...

It happens... ;)

I sent the tip to Drudge also —I don’t think anything will come of it.

I felt no shaking here, in Monterey, California, which is about 1.5 hrs south of San Francisco.

If they are taking people out on gurneys, I doubt it was an accidental mixing of cleaning chemicals.

The only source of chlorine I can think of would be the chlorination system for the swimming pool(s).

Like I said, I haven’t been able to verify the earthquake story, but FWIW, here’s the link to the HuffPo article —

This is so weird...! It’s STILL not news, dayum...!

Ah..! I just checked, but now finally it’s trickling out, a little:

How they’re spinning it is: “He juuuuuust left before! Whew...!”

But that, too, is wrong.

I’ll be danged. It was from mixing cleaning chemicals.

Must have been a big batch.
