Lower-income smokers in Utah may soon have to pay more for a doctor's visit if they continue the unhealthy habit. That is, if a bill currently making its way through the state legislature passes.
State Representative Paul Ray, R., is the author of the proposal to charge a Medicaid recipient a higher co-pay for doctor visits if he or she smokes cigarettes.

Utah State Representative Paul Ray added that the new Soylent Green plant was having to reject some of the current input due to past smoking behavior.
“Not everybody likes that smoke taste in their Soylent biscuits,” added the Deseret Solon.

yeah, wasn’t that what the big tax was supposed to be for? to offset the larger health care bill for smokers?? of course they never took into account the tons of money the government is saved by smokers not living long enough to collect full social security.

Electronic medical records (EMR) are already required under law and to think that the Feds wouldn’t inspect them anyway is naive.
