Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum continues to ride his polling momentum into Ohio where he leads Mitt Romney by nearly two-to-one in the first Rasmussen Reports survey of Republicans in the state.
The new statewide telephone survey of Likely Republican Primary voters shows Santorum picking up 42% of the vote to Romney’s 24%. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich draws 13% support, while Texas Congressman Ron Paul picks up 10%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and eight percent (8%) are undecided.

Wow, Santorum is winning Michigan? Who would have thunk it?
There is one reason Obama is president. Non-married women voters. He did not and will not get the votes of men or married women. Unless the unmarried women can see the light he will be hard to beat.
It is questionable whether the nation will survive women voters.
Hey super Tuesday voters. Aren’t you just a little upset that Romney and Santorum don’t have enough respect for you to complete the debate process and answer issues that might affect your state, such as Ohio? Basically what the dastardly duo is saying is, “why take a risk with a bad debate, and give Gingrich another shot “. So basically it isn’t about you or your needs but about votes and playing the game.
While I have always like Newt he has shot himself too many times in the foot to win the nomination. Rick went up against the Gay Mafia and it probably cost him the Senate seat. He is even more despised by the Left than Newt because he refuses to kow-tow to the fags AND he is an observant Catholic.
This is where the attacks will be concentrated not personal foibles and dumb comments. But I don’t think that will turn the typical American voter against him.

Uh, I hate to tell you but Santorum never ran against Hillary you got the wrong Eyetalian.
Super Tuesday voters will not give a damn. Many will have already voted by the debate anyway and the rest could not care less about another CNN chance to snipe at the conservative.
Look, recent polls aren't even able to accurately predict the results of primaries a couple days before the elections. Why are we giving any credence to polls 9 months out with candidates that are not locked in yet and that are within the margin of error? One of my biggest pet peeves is these GOP nominee vs. Obama polls. Worthless.

I am located in Central Ohio (30 miles NE of Columbus) and I have to agree with you.
No excitement for either one.
Sorry, but I don’t miss GWB. He paved the path for what we have now. And I don’t miss Dole either or the first Bush or Ford.

My guess is that a President Santorum will be a lot like Gerry Ford was. A nice guy, some gaffes, some wise moments, but pretty much a go-along-get-along guy insofar as dealing with the rest of the Republicans in Congress.
This isn’t to say I didn’t like Mr. Ford, and I will absolutely vote for Mr. Santorum if he’s on the ballot in November.
(Aside: actually, it won’t matter _who_ I vote for in November. I’m in Connecticut, which has toppled so far to the left that it will probably never elect a Republican to national-level office again.)

No kidding. People should also be aware of the great thinkers of the world but they are oblivious.
Wonder how many Americans have ever read any of the Federalist Papers or even the constitution itself. My guess would be a small minority at best.

He should loose to a can of orage juice, but the things that make him the greatest failure in American presidential history, will only boost his standing among the rabid left that control the media in this country. One thing’s for sure though, a candidate hated by conservatives almost as much as Obama has zero chance. So, we better hope Rick gets it and can win inspite of the slobbering Obama media.
