And who’s to stop anybody from simply buying two bars to make up for the smaller one?

The stupidity boggles the mind.

Clever way to boost sales. Bet the new 'size' is the same price. Mars- Michelle's Autocratic Regulatory Stooge.

Let’s put Mars on a financial diet and stop buying their products. Plus I guarantee they will not lower price to reflect less quantity.

By buying into this health agenda mars is essentially saying their product is junk and bad for you. Stupidity beyond comprehension

This is a red hearing. They are reducing the size to save money. It’s the same as many other products that have shrunk over the past few years: less produce, same price.

This is a PR dream that provides cover for something that they wanted to do for quite some time, but now they have a feel-good excuse rather than an image as a greedy company only interested in profits. It’s for the children and health in general you know...

Or more easily changing the product label to indicate that it now represents “two servings”

Please don't tip off the Fed's on this! Once they get wise to your plan, candy bars will have to be registered. And there will be a strict one-a-day maximum purchase rule.

And there will be a BCSI (Bureau of Candy, Soda, and Ice Cream) to enforce the tangled mess of candy-related rules. Naturally, the BCSI agents will be armed and have arrest powers.

Yeah, I mean that is a big “DUH” right there. Most people with any brain already buy two little ones rather than the king size, since the unit price usually works out to be cheaper. King size is just a marketing gimmick to sell 1.8 times the product for 2 times the price.

Interesting with the smaller bars. You do tend to eat more. Buy a bag....eat a bag. It’s all about volume.

Sounds like a deliberate kickback to Mars to boost sales for that very reason.

How much $$ did Mars give to the Hussein campaign?
