Republican donor expected to provide $10 million to Gingrich SuperPAC

Washington (CNN) - In a move that could again dramatically shake up the Republican primary race, billionaire and major Republican donor Sheldon Adelson is expected to donate an additional $10 million to the super PAC supporting Newt Gingrich, Winning Our Future, a source with knowledge of the donation told CNN.

That contribution is expected soon, before the end of the month, the source said. The timing is important because Gingirch, whose campaign has been lagging, is hoping to do well in several of the upcoming Super Tuesday states that vote on March 6 to boost his effort. His allies will need that money to be in a position to help. Because ten states go to the polls on that one day, money is key in order to do well.

Such a large gift will give Winning Our Future a major financial shot in the arm and will help it narrow the financial disparity it has with the super PACs supporting Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum. Both of those groups are up with major TV ad buys while Winning Our Future is up with several radio ad campaigns.

The 2012 CPAC straw poll win by Romney is no different than the 2011 win by Paul. Both were rigged, the results did not reflect the true national sense of conservative voters.

This is good news for America. This increases the chances that all will remain in the race and that a brokered convention looks a little more possible. I am with Newt all the way and I won’t change with the wind. I would like it to get to the convention though just to see if anyone else would step up to the plate. In my heart, I know that Gingrich is the best of whats left and that he would give his all to do the right things for America.

Has anyone else received Freepmail from a “Donald Duk” trashing Newt? I checked for posting history; there is none. Just wondering if this kind of thing is ignored or if the Mods prefer to be notified.

Yep! Forgot about the folks with gold plated office entrance in downtown SLC.

Then again they’re pretty “conservstive” with THEIR money.

If Newt gets this money it can only serve to hurt Santorum and divide the anti-Romney vote.

And, that hurts in “Winner-take-All” states. But, thankfully, there are some states that divvy out the delegates “proportionately”. That’s why Newt keeps saying he’s in this thing until the Convention.

Who the hell would financially back Mitt besides Soros?
______________________________________________________________
The Super Pacs backing Newt and Rick need to play, and replay, that clip where George Soros is saying that there is not all that much difference between Romney and Obama. Play it in every State having a Primary until the Convention. Play it over and over and over and.............

Mitt backed out of the GA debate.......

If Newt’s handlers were as smart as they should be (which they’re not), they should challenge Santorum to a Debate in GA......just Newt and Rick and let’s bring this thing to a head.

No, but, speaking of “Donald”: If Mitt Romney is not the nominee, Donald Trump has indicated that he will run as a Third Party Candidate. And, for the first time in my life, I’m to the point that I don’t give a crap if he does.

I remember him threatening to do just that. I hope the egotistical idiot is just trying to get attention.

“......just Newt and Rick and let’s bring this thing to a head.”

I like that idea, too. Newt was great at the GOP rally this AM, but I suspect that Santorum breathed a sigh of relief when Mitt backed out and afforded him the excuse to do the same knowing he certainly could never go one on one with Newt.

I didn't know that.

If correct, I hope it shows that Jews are finally waking up and deciding to vote for people who are pro-Israel and who understand the Judeo-Christian roots of this country.

I'd rather see Santorum than Gingrich, but anybody but Romney is fine with me.

Thank you!

Interesting link. Didn't know that.

I know nothing about his personal beliefs but it's a fair assumption that someone in the casino gambling business is not an Orthodox Jew. However, if he's opposing online gambling for his own reasons to preserve his casinos, we in the evangelical world have learned long ago that the enemy of our enemy can be our friend, at least on some things.

If he's backing Gingrich, good for him and good for Gingrich. Stopping Romney is the goal, and doing that takes money.
