Female Combat Pilot Wants to Kick Santorum 'in the Jimmy' for Remarks on Women

A retired female fighter pilot running for former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' open seat in Congress said Friday that Rick Santorum's recent remarks on women in combat make her want to "go kick him in the jimmy."

Martha McSally, a retired US Air Force colonel and a veteran of the war in Afghanistan, is running in Arizona's congressional special election as a Republican. According to her Facebook page, she was the first American woman to fly in combat since the 1991 lifting of a ban on women in that role.

Appearing Friday morning on FOX News Channel's "FOX & Friends," she called the Republican presidential candidate "completely out of touch" for saying that the "emotions" felt by men seeing a female soldier in harm's way may jeopardize their mission.

She was teaching at the George C. Marshall Center in Germany. In fact, her bio still shows up in the Google cache of the faculty roster.

Having women soldiers fight is very different than using civilian women and children as shields.

As a decision made by a culture, it seems identical to me. Not that the enemy will desist because of their femaleness, but because we would be putting women in front to protect whoever is behind. And being women, like the Moslem "shields," they're not in much of a position to defend themselves, compared to the rest of the military being shielded by them.

All your caveats and requirements are well taken, of course, but the bottom line is that the whole point of a military, for all the reasons you cite, is to put the women and children out of harm's way. Otherwise, there's no point in having a nation at all. There's no excuse for its exercising authority over us if it won't do that.

Women can be very brave, especially if they are protecting children.

But that’s not why I object to women being on the field.

The “Gotcha Game” will go on non-stop until election day. The primary threat at the time will be the one targeted. No candidate is immune, and none are relatively “worse” than any other.

This is how the game is currently played. The MSM will do whatever it takes to turn women against the Republican front runner, excepting Romney of course, as they know that will be the primary demographic that Obama must have to win.

Rick has the best shot at this time to deny Romney the nomination, Newt has always had too much baggage to have a chance as I stated long ago, and my personal pick decided not to run.

I'm not fond of any of the current crop, but I see no problem with his statement, and if he's intelligent enough not to back down, he will not be hurt by this particular statement, IMO.

Yeah like flying a U.S. Air Force fighter aircraft (or maneuvering a schooner) over the last thirty years has been like being in combat. I laugh. Try humping an 80lb ruck and getting shot at for a living. Piss off McSally.

Piss off yourself, you stupid grunt. She flew ground support for the troops in combat, you freaking asshat.

You humped a ruck all right - but it didn't have anything to do with walking.

Idiot.

I did, but I didn't notice anything unusual. Looking over it again, she seemed to blink a lot.

Bull, I have done an awful lot of hard living, and fighting and bar action in my life, and I never saw those super tough females that would stand up to bad men, biker chicks look tough to other females, but biker men don’t tolerate nonsense from them. I never saw the women that could take over a tough bar, or manhandle men that wen’t being polite, or inhibited, or under the threat of law, as with a cop.

That is why they can’t do things in the military, the funniest thing I ever witnessed in the Army was watching the females try to put up a large 30 man tent when a mixed unit spent some time next to my unit, the men just gathered round and watched them in fascination for awhile, they were too weak to handle it and eventually some of the guys went over and did the job.

Women can’t handle the 130, and 160 pound loads, that is why they don’t go through the physical tests, they go through a “female” test.

Even in the Navy which hasn’t fought a war in70 years, and where memories have grown dim, is a bad place for females, because when the system breaks down and the labor pool is reduced, they are not the equal of males.

My father was on the Marblehead, and the system broke down, the wounded and dead were everywhere doors warped, metal twisted, fire hoses needing operating, wounded carried up ladders, ammunition moved by hand.

Women cannot even make it as civilian firemen unless standards are reduced, as they did decades ago in law enforcement.

Yes, we can only choose from the list of participating candidates, and I don’t think Newt’s the worse among them.

Obviously, I prefer Newt over Rick, but should Santorum get the nomination, I’ll support his candidacy regardless of reservations.

When a people lose their child bearing age women, then they lose the ability to reproduce, that is why female life is so precious, not to mention that if Western man ever truly comes to see the weaker sex as nothing special and not due any special consideration, then we will have become savages, and the weaker sex would not like to actually see that goofy fantasy, be reality.

Might makes right, a sexually unaware warrior culture of ranking based purely on strength and successful aggression, would make women lowly indeed.

Just color me cynical about such schools. Just because, say, a Dale Carnegie was a genius about how to win friends and influence people does not mean he put that to the most virtuous uses. I doubt Kennedy taught her wisdom, only skills.

I mean really. Her opponents ought to ruthlessly bring this out. How well would the body politic react to talk of kicking HER in the “Jenny”? Then maybe “sexist” chivalry is not dead? And it’s there for a reason?

Why should the military, or society as a whole, be turned upside down to accommodate the 3% of the population that are confused about the proper use of their genitalia? Yet, Obummer was hell bent on allowing not only the ability to serve, but also the ability to engage in their sexual degeneracy in the open.

Hmm... way to prove that women are just as tough as the men, get all bent out of shape over a guy delicately expressing his views in a polite way.
