It shows just how much endorsements really mean since the dearly beloved Rick Perry endorsed Newt.

I wonder if Saint Rick could win West Texas. I am surprised to see that he is leading in TX; I had expected Gingrich to prevail. I imagine many think Gingrich will have pulled out by that time, but Newt says he will be in the running in Tampa!

IMO, the more I see Santorum rise in the pols, the more I see a brokered convention, with Jeb Bush nominated. The Establishment candidate. Only my opinion please don't flame.

It seems that Ron Paul won’t be able to carry his home state. So of course, according to the Gingrich Rule, Ron needs to drop out.

holy smokes. IF Santorum wins Michigan, he might well end up as the nominee
To: TexasFreeper2009
With Texas being pushed pretty much out of the picture with a late May or later primary this probably won't impact the nomination.

An Internet survey with a low margin of error? For sure Newt has been damaged by the carpet bombing and FL results, but I am not seeing the support for Santorum being as high as this poll indicates.

primaries. They were originally scheduled for March 6 early voting would have started this week but have been delayed by redistricting litigation. Texas still doesn't have all of its congressional and legislative maps in place, and May 29 appears to be the earliest possible primary date. The primaries may be decided before we vote due to law suits by minority groups. I wonder what a poll about how Texans feel about this would turn up.

Wonder if Romney will now stop the “I am a Mormon” commercials here in Texas?

Of the 800 Internet respondents, only 371 were Republicans.
Is the primary in Texas open across party lines?
The article went on to say anyone of the Republican candidates can beat Obama in Texas. That’s encouraging.

Please look into this organization before bothering with anything they have to say. It is a bunch of leftist trial lawyars posing as a news organiztion.

This is not likely voters. Is it even Republican voters? Is TX an open primary?

Not sure what’s happening to this state.

Interesting poll stats:
26% consider themselves in the middle re repub vs dem.
35% of respondants are dems
33% declare themselves repubs.
31% live in the Dallas fort worth area
38% finished high school only.
No doubt these poll results reflect the voting population in texas to a T. (WTF?)
