A Santorum presidency would be a GWB redux. A good and godly man who feels like the federal government has the responsibility to clean up people's mess. He will be moved to the left by the RINOs just like when he was in Congress.

Maybe better on judges, but not as good on taxes. Same, same on spending. Not good on government unions. Probably be better friends with Trumpka than he will be with LTC West.

All in all he would only marginally slow this country's march to economic ruin. And that's just not good enough.

I fully agree with what you say. Your insight is rather stark, as well a very realistic. You nailed the real Reverend Rick to a “Tee”. I might add, that I highly doubt that Santorum, if (God help us) he gets the nomination, that he will win the election. In fact, I predict that it will be an Obama landslide.

Santorum has proven beyond a doubt that he can't keep his big mouth shut, and that he is one of the most divisive candidates to come along, since Walter Mondale.

I don’t know why people can’t see the GWB written all over Santorum. I was a Bush supporter believing him to be better than the alternatives; however, he did more damage to the country than Clinton. Growing government and advancing the progressive agenda while simultaneously giving conservativism a bad name and then not defending it set us back to pre-Reagan socialism allowing Obama to carry on as though the Reagan revolution never even happened. Bush was one of the worst presidents and not for any of the reasons the left imagines. Santorum has all the same trappings.
