My ranking

Newt
Paul (though next is going to be foreign policy, Paul will have plenty of opportunity to rant insanely!)
Romney (slight edge here!)
Santorum

He’s figured out CNN game plan. Keep Republicans fighting. Protect Obama.

This debate was stacked for Romney. Santorum goes after Mitt on Romneycare and the audience boos?

I don't know if the debate is stacked, but the audience is definitely stacked with Mitt-bots. Where are Santorum's supporters?

“we cannt send them all back”

They all left Mexico voluntarily. They will all leave the U.S. voluntarily also -- if the incentives are right. Total cost to the U.S. taxpayer = $0.00.

Sorry not me. Santorum is doing it to himself. Moderator is baiting him and he walks into it with both feet. Mittens see Santorum blood in the water and going for the Kill.

Santorum is not ready for prime time.

Newt is looking real good but he needs to take control of this debate and take Mittens and Santorum to the wood shed.

No wonder they don’t want to debate Newt.

Newt needs to get his new 30 min ad out there so people can see it.

But it does not matter that Newt is brilliant, in his answers tonight, because his answers will not be understood even by the CNN, FNC, MSM Talking Heads. He can not win against the RNC elite. They aer afraid of him. Sad to say. But true!

I like both too but Santorum is not backing down. Any of the others who have been the frontrunner has backed down during the attacks.

There HAD to have been a private caucus of some kind between CNN and the DNC/White House, days ago, to architect some of these zinger questions. Note how hardly any of the CNN questions are framed in a “you guys up here on the stage, what do you say with respect to Obama doing (such and such). These guys are SO in the tank for the Messiah. I will hand it to Santorum and Gingrich for aiming some political fire on the Administration and pivoting on an answer, though CNN has this agenda-ed out the way they definitely want it to go. By the way, anyone know the viewership of these debates especially Arizona and Michigan? I bet it is very very low. Call it debate fatigue. The Mass Media has really played a clever game over the last nine months to rip up to shreds the GOP in advance of them pitting their candidate against Obama. It is “Operation Chaos” ten fold, if you ask me. I say, NO MORE DEBATES BEFORE LIBERAL MEDIA OUTLETS. PERIOD. Let us have Citizen-Moderated Debates which the media can pool-cover if they wish.

Credit to Romney for seeing there is a problem,
his fixes aren’t always conservative solutions,
so I will vote aligned with Conservatives/TEA Party,
for the most Conservative Congress, regardless of Mitt, Rick Newt or Ron.

The man is extremely quick on his feet and has an ability to stay focused on his message. There is no doubt to me who the GOP must put up against Obama. Watch his energy speech if you get a chance, it is Reaganesque.

Exactly. I bitterly resign myself to the idea we are going to be stuck with Romney as the nominee, then I watch the debate and wonder how in the world people can’t see we need Newt?

” He’s figured out CNN game plan. Keep Republicans fighting. Protect Obama. “

The rules are in play and but for a question, Newt can be silenced.

this debate is annoying me. The giving of time to answer insults has resulted in way too much back and forth between Romney, Santorum and Ron Paul.

Newt has been ignored to the point of embarrassment and he’s made the best comments.

John King’s revenge?

Mesa has a very strong and active Mormon community. Indeed the town was founded by Mormons.
