Gingrich first to hit Obama for Afghanistan apology
CNN Politics ^ | 2/23/12 | Kevin Liptak

Newt Gingrich emerged Thursday as the first Republican White House hopeful to criticize President Barack Obama for apologizing after Muslim holy books containing extremist language were burned by NATO soldiers.

Gingrich told a crowd in Spokane, Washington, "President Obama surrendered twice today and I think that deserves to be brought to the country's attention."
**snip**
He continued, "The president apologized for the burning, but I haven't seen the president demand that the government of Afghanistan apologize for the killing of two young Americans."

Gingrich said Obama was ignoring the treat of radical Muslims intent on harming Americans.

"There seems to be nothing that radical Islamists can do to get Barack Obama's attention in a negative way, and he is consistently apologizing to people who do not deserve the apology of the president of the United States, period," Gingrich said.

“He is consistently apologizing to people who do not deserve the apology of the United States. Period.”

Gingrich said if Hamid Karzai doesn’t apologize, the United States should leave the country.

“We should say good bye and good luck, we don’t need to be wasting our time and our money,” Gingrich said.

I’m not sure the exact time but Governor Palin made a similar call on her Facebook page. But being a Newt-ist myself, it’s good to see him lead.

Go Newt Go.

I think Santorum might make a workable veep for Newt, but he’s too green to be president yet. If Newtorum can get their acts together than Romney will cease to be a worry.

Thanks for the link. Further down, the article mentions that Palin may have been the first to actually come out publicly and criticize Bambi, but Newt was the first candidate to do so.

Good on her, she's always in the center of the fray taking flak.

These Afghans are such hypocrites. Everyday they sh!t on their own “holy” book and treat each other like crap, breeding terror and what not. What part of the “thou shall not use your book to attack us” they do not understand, or else it is not a worthy book?

They treat us like servants, like we are some kind of maid, to take care of their arse better than they care for their own.

Originaly this was a post 911 operations to maintain a civil divorce civil from Islam, but now it turns into a criminal matter of what we have in custody that is ours, we must do as they say. ANd thus now we are actualy getting remarried to them.

This is such horsecrap. How did BushII and the others come back like puppy dogs to these mongrels?

Thank God there are still a couple of adults left in the body politic; unfortunately none exist in the current administration, nor have I heard anything resembling Newt's demand from anyone in Congress.

I did hear that Sarah Palin, like Newt, had demanded an apology from the Afghan president.

Meanwhile Karzai is demanding that the U.S. servicemembers responsible for the burning of the so called “holy books” be turned over to Afghan authorities for trial.

With leaders like Zero and the other RINOs, who needs Bin Laden? What part of "IF WE HAVE BOOKS OF PRISONERS IN

O U R

CUSTODY" do they not understand? IT IS OURS CUSTODY NOT THEIRS, WE CAN DISPOSE OF IT AS WE PLEASE.

RomNey has to wait for his talking points to have been cleared before he will comment. Newt and Palin, glad we have grown ups fighting for the truth.

Thats whay I have noticed about her too from the beginning. She draws the flak and makes it safe for the more timid Repubs to take a stand. She was the first to take on Obama after the election when the Repubs were in complete disarray, and she continues to be the first to step into the line of fire on issue after issue.

Santorum make a workable veep for Newt? Are you joking?

Santorum was part of the coup that unseated the Speaker. Newt had mentored Rick Santorum when he first arrived in the House of Rep, and was stabbed in the back by tricky Ricky.

Gingrich would have to be crazy and stupid to trust Santorum ever again!

Here is what Karzai did the last time there was a riot in Afghanistan over a Koran burning. He informed Afghanis and ginned up the riot.

From the WSJ:

"Most Afghans learned about the Quran burning in Florida only when Mr. Karzai on March 24 (4 days after!) condemned the act as "a crime against the religion and the entire Muslim nation," called on the U.S. and the U.N. to bring the perpetrators to justice and demanded "a satisfactory response to the resentment and anger of over 1.5 billion Muslims around the world."

Karzai did the same thing this time and 0buttwipe apologizes to him.
