Military1Click: Hello and thank you for talking with us today. I am a Navy wife and my co-founder of Military1Click is an Air Force wife. So our questions today are from a military spouse perspective. Act of Valor: Great, nice to meet you, thank you.
Military1Click: We know that the 8 Seals in this movie are real Seals, but what about their spouses and children in the movie?
Act of Valor: All of the families, including the children, are real military families with the exception of one spouse.
Military1Click: In the movie, there are scenes involving the spouses and families that are so real and so touching, that I think only another military spouse would know. How did you get this inside information?
Act of Valor: This entire film was a collaborative effort. The scene where Rorke was saying goodbye to his pregnant wife and when she closed the door, she slid down the inside of the door and cried. These are the real stories that the families shared with us. This is how they feel or react when their spouses leave on a deployment that may last for a year. They never know if they are going to see them again. Another example is the scene where Rorke is on deployment and talking to his wife on the phone she is surrounded by the baby crib she is trying to assemble by herself. We wanted to show what really happens when they are gone. We want people to see the moments that these Seals miss, that the rest of us take for granted.

Military1Click: As a military spouse and having seen the film, I am so excited that you got it. Emotionally, this is a hard movie to watch because our spouses never talk about what they do out there. Now I know. This movie had a huge impact on me because so many of the scenes hit so close to home. As a military spouse, your military friends do become your family. You have been to their weddings and baby showers, but the harsh reality is, you have also been to the funerals. This movie captured all of the elements that are involved in the military lifestyle. Thank you for making it so authentic.
Is this a nationwide release or just select theaters?
Thank you. I think I’ll go watch it tomorrow night.
Just got home from a special preview here in the Imperial Valley(a large portion of the film was shot here in 2009). Well done except for the nauseating hand held 1/2 second shots that seem to be so in vogue by the current crop of film makers. Makes me want to puke. The acting was surprisingly good considering the newbie actors that should have been out of their element. I would give it a solid 3 out of 4 stars. If I had seen more of Roselyn Sanchez it would have scored a 3 and 1/2.
This bond was formed in Viet Nam with the Brown Water Navy. SEALs and UDTs were inserted and extracted on the waterways of the Mekong River Delta by the MSTs [Mobile Support Teams]. I was there.
Thank you for your service. One of my buddies the last few years in Iraq was a former SWCC.
In an interview with the Directors they said live ammo was used in the film.
