Two suspects. One in custody, other at large.

Any wonder why more and more parents are opting out for homeschooling or private school education. The public school system is fast becoming a toilet.

This is very unusual for this area.. Chardon has an extremely small school system of about 3k or less

Chardon is located in Geauga County which is a pretty rural area. Shocked that this would happen in this typically peaceful city.

I live in the cleveland area. According to the local media, the shooter was a student who brought a gun to school 7:30 am 4 shots fired in the cafeteria. They don’t know how many student involved or how many are hurt. School is on lock down.

This is my alma mater, and my Mom is a former employee (retired).

She hasn’t heard much other than what’s on the news.

When I was a youth, Chardon was a decent-sized town in a mostly rural community with the distinction of being the county seat.

As I was going through HS, and definitely after, it became very “yuppified” and is now a much more wealthier, desireable (and crowded) place to live (if you’re into that sorta thing).

Known as both the Maple Syrup capital of the state (with it’s annual festival), and one of the heaviest snow-bound communities in this part of the state in the winter.

“One in custody, other at large.”

Usually precautionary

My point exactly. This kind of stuff is no longer limited to BIG city and BIG school district educational facilities. The small towns and cities in the U.S. are just as vulnerable to this type of activity. More and more single parent kids, bad-asses (or at least they think they are), misfits, druggies, little ho’s, would be rappers, etc. are moving into the small city and town school districts. As such, the folks who were born and raised in these towns must now tolerate hooligans who terrorize their once cherished educational facilities.

Soledad O’Brien on CNN is tipping off the perps: Several students are hiding and texting from the cafeteria.

I’m sure the families will want to thank Soledad O’Brien of CNN!
