"This idea that women *used* to stay home and homeschool their kids, nurture their kids until they were off on their own, but no longer do so, is absurd."

The idea that women can focus their full energies on child-rearing is absurd?

LOL

I guess Mother Nature should be notified. I don't see any non-politically-correct animals that don't have the Mothering instinct, tending constantly to their young....

Women who want to be "Heads of Household-Bread-Winners" have penis-envy, I think.

Most young women today have been brainwashed to believe they can "do it all" - have babies and a career.
Same goes for the OWS scumbags: there are neither winners nor losers, and answering 5 to "what's 2+2 equal?" is okay because you tried.
Neither group was ever taught there are consequences.

The post-industrial model is not “traditional”.

Traditionally, both the wife and husband *worked from home* because one’s workplace and one’s home were very often *the same place*

Have a shop in town? The family often lived upstairs, or in other rooms of said shop. Have a farm in the country? Again, the home and the family business are the same location.

The traditional model is the one in which both husband AND wife were at home, and historians have observed that *men* leaving the home at the industrial revolution had an effect on families even back then.

Nice try, but no cookie for you. Go back, read what I wrote in its entirety (maybe have your wife read it to you) and then come back with a response. Or don’t. Makes no difference to me. I’m correct in my statement (it its entirety) and I won’t defend my words that are taken out of context.
