Generally concur with your remarks. It's become a rotten street scam on a nationwide scale.
Do be careful with the quotes, tho' ..... my italicized quote was a quote of the other FReeper, RC one. Those were his words.
Normally, when I quote the other party, I put their initials in brackets or something, then use the <tt> font, or set some other font, to differentiate the third-party from the second-party quotes, or even block the quote.
