Yes, I watched the press conference and have followed this story over the past 3 - 4 years.
There was nothing presented in the video of the press conference other than Sheriff Joe saying that the cold case team felt that the documents were forgeries. I asked a legitimate question in my post - what specifics lead the cold case team to their conclusion? In articles posted here on FR over the years, different FReepers have been able to show in detail why they believed these documents were forged. Sheriff Joe did none of that.
Now, I'm not Sheriff Joe and I don't have his credibility, but if I make a statement that I have definitively concluded that the moon really IS made of green cheese without offering any explanation as to WHY I believe that, what will people say about DustyMoment? Nuts, lefty, too many drugs, whatever.
I'm not saying that Sheriff Joe is nuts or a looney. I'm just saying that I would like to have seen some of the reasons behind the team's conclusion.
