Obama's contraception deception
Fox News ^ | March 1, 2012 | John Lott

Thursday Senate Democrats narrowly voted down an attempt to end President Obama's mandate that Catholic organizations provide their employees with abortions and contraception for no co-pay or deductible.

Democrats pulled out the heavy artillery, sending out an e-mail last night charging that Republicans want to “tear down access to better care.” The campaign linked this vote to the specter of Republicans “bann[ing] many common forms of birth control, including the pill, and fertility treatments such as in vitro fertilization.”

Obama’s so-called reversal a couple of weeks ago that switched mandates from religious organizations to insurance companies that they buy policies from changed nothing. This cynical ploy can only work if women and the Catholic Bishops don't understand really basic economics. . . .

What’s the over/under on how many years before Obamacare covers sex change operations, er, ah, “gender reassignment” surgery?

This is just more misdirection and jive from barry. It needs to be pointed out that this is another obama fairy tale. Most importantly it needs to be tied in with all his whoppers on the economy. If it was really cheaper for insurers to give out free birth control they would already be doing it. They are not. End of story.

Oh, hopefully never...he needs to be voted out in November. Beyond how expensive all of these mandates are making our insurance coverage, I would really hate to listen to hearings on THAT subject. I can only imagine what Rush would have to say describing the addadictomy hearings.

We are not going to win the contraception argument in a head-on vote. The MSM will see to that.

Abundantly clear since this issue hit the fan, is that abortion will now be legal and paid for by tax (your) dollars.

______________

Right away, I’m sure. A lot of health insurance arrangements include sex change already- particularly out there in California.

Prisons as well give hormone treatments to TS cons.

I can’t see the right to determine your own gender being taken away from these folks- and so things will be equitable, I predict they’ll expand sex changes for everyone.

I believe it already does. Or will, when it becomes fully effective in 2014.

if it is true, that islamics are exempt from obama care simply based on their quran teaching that health insurance is a form of gambling and therefore forbidden, what’s going on here ? they do have car and home owners insurance so of course I can be wrong.
But if they’re exempt based on their teachings so are we, based on our beliefs.
and if i’m wrong in believing that islamics are exempt,i have no problem with correction.

And people wonder why we are fighting this tooth and nail.

Excellent post. This is really a battle we cannot afford to lose. The line must be drawn here.

The conservative conception of national morality, economics, and social well being has served the country remarkably well for decades.

Comrade obama merely has a contraception.

Yes.Only the executive order stands between the Secretary and her right to order free abortions.

I hate to say it, but the bill that was voted down was completely inadequate, anyway. Catholic “organizations” isn’t enough. Businesses have the same right to deny free contraception, as a matter of conscience. Catholic, Protestant, or Orthodox Jewish business owners cannot be forced to do this against their consciences.

As for Dingy Harry, he should be kicked out of the LDS Church for this kind of thing, which he has done repeatedly. Or do the Mormon leaders want his money more than they want to follow their own precepts?
